thanks, i am right in thinking that you can just set them up and then just leave them until harvest??
This doesn't have to do with type, but look up "closed cap" or how to keep a mushroom closed cap. You may want to leave one or two that way. From what I've heard, theres a debate on whether or not spores make you trip, and I can't say they do or they don't, but every close cap I've eaten really fucked me up. It may have to do with maturity, or it could have been in my head. Just something to try.
I know spores aren't supposed to contain psilocybin, but, to me, there is a difference in the trips when its a closed cap and when its an open cap. I've seen friends eat nothing but spores and start trippin, which doesn't mean they contain psilocybin at a traceable level, but they may contain something that fucks you up. I'm not a scientist with a lab so I can't test the spores, I just go off experience instead of internet hearsay.spore dont make you trip thats why they arent ilegal and you harvest the boomers right has the veil start to break.
cool man i'll remember to look into that closer to the timeYou harvest right before the veil breaks, but the OP may need pics to understand what that means.
There is no difference between opened and unopened caps. The majority of experienced mushroom cultivators wait well after the veil breaks to harvest, a mushrooms still has a lot of growing left to do when the veil breaks. And with quite a bit of experience myself i can definitively say that there is no difference what so ever.I know spores aren't supposed to contain psilocybin, but, to me, there is a difference in the trips when its a closed cap and when its an open cap.
