Hi all,

I have some major issues with my Himalayan Gold. A few days ago it was fine, and was fed its nutes and was watered with its normal feeding schedule. It showed signs of nute stress and was immediately flushed. I went to sleep and when I checked on it in the morning I was unpleasently surprised by some major and horrible changes. I have little orange looking bugs all over my plant on its leaves and even the stem. I have no idea as to what kind they are. I looked up all the different types of mites, aphids, whiteflies, etc.. and cant seem to find any that look like this. They almost looks like little orange caviar specs all over my plant. Not only do I have these bugs, but my plant has gone from being green and perky, to being extremely droopy and the leaves are beginning to wilt. Im am extremely scared that i am going to lose my plant. I immediately sprayed the shit out of the plant with a Neem oil, soap, and water mixture and also put a No pest strip in my room. I am going to incorporate feeding the plants with Neem adding 4 ml per gallon of water to help with the root system and bugs in the soil.

Here are Pics of the before and after plant. Please let me know if you have any advice for what i can do to save this plant. Do you even think it can be saved? and if so what should i do?

The first pics is of the plant b4 the problem and then the additional pics are of the current condition of the plant. Will give +rep for solutions and advice. Thanks again

i think i can get the bugs under control as I have found many solutions to kill them. But my main concern is my plant recovering from its extreme droopiness. I have never seen a plant soooo droopy and be able to recover, but it is still green though. Does anyone think it has a chance? I just think it was Overwatering because of the feeding and then the major flush. Please does anyone have any advice. I cant lose this baby. It was vegged for 2 months and I was hoping to yield big!

Just curious about the bugs....went looking for bugs that fit the description, and found this (go aprox. 1/2 way down the page for the pic) http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/txgard/msg0600045319498.html
As far as the rest of the issues - sorry to say, but that plant didn't look all that well in that first picture either. Nute burn big time. Then came the bugs putting more stress on the plant. Then the flush (normally not all that stressful, but on an already severely stressed plant).
Do you have LOTS of drainage holes on that bucket? It almost looks as if that plant is drowning. It looks pretty far gone to me.

The first thing that sends alarm bells off is "It showed signs of nute stress and was immediately flushed"

Are you saying you didn't let the soil dry out before flushing? Because it that's the case over watering caused even more nutrient uptake, and now they've been over watered.

does anyone else think that this plant can make it? the bugs are beginning to die off. I sprayed with half a mixture of alcohol and water.. I stuck it outside hoping the sun would help a bit.. we shall see. any other advice?

I know that it didnt look that good. it had been stressed big time. It was put outside one point for 10 and had to survive through a few bad storms. It also had nute burn earlier in growth but if u look at the picture when it was healthy, all the new growth was green.

DUDE - STOP!!

Why did you spray with alcohol and water if the neem and soap spray was helping? If you followed that thread, you would've noticed that the poster said it DID stress his plants out - PLUS the spider mites came back (I suspect because it didn't kill the eggs?). So you spray the plant with the alcohol/water solution (further stressing out the plant), THEN you stick it outside in the hot sun?

For future grows, use neem as a preventative measure by spraying on your plant leaves every 7-14 days. It's not meant to kill on contact, it disrupts the insect's hormonal balance so the bugs can't breed or molt to the next life stage. Plus, they don't like the taste, so they'll be less likely to "set up shop" on your plant when they are looking for food.

Basically at this point, you've put about as much stress on this plant as it can take by trying to cure everything at once. IMO, I would bring it back inside, do NOT water it until it is totally dried out. BTW - you DO have drain holes in that bucket, right? Also, do NOT give it any nutes for at least 10 days after (IF) she perks back up. Keep the light intensity low for maybe 4 days as well. Think of her as a VERY sick patient that needs REST, and quit dicking with her for a few days...then get back to us and let us know if she lives.

You have gotten good advice here.

Just a quick note: you know marijuana survives all on its own right?

What I mean is, it really doesn't need help from us, just the correct conditions, light, water, and a medium.

The biggest mistakes newbies make is thinking they need to DO something. Like you were told, quit "dicking" with everything so much. I am guessing you arrived at this place mostly because you didn't plan properly and take the proper precautions about bugs.

For the future, learn from your mistakes and KEEP IT SIMPLE. :peace:
