I am sort of following see more buds BFL book, and my plants are currently standing about 5-8", and were first potted about 4 weeks ago. I just transplanted today, so I am going to consider the rest of this week a neutral period.

well 1st where is it growing????? inside or out

just remember when you put the plant in flower the plant will grow and streach about double or triple in size so I guess you want the plant to be half the size of your max hight....

hope that helps

p.s also from seed 6 weeks veg would be good

also you want it to be 5 or 7 nodes in to the plant for stronger stems so I read

In the book, he goes 12/12 day 16.
I've gone as soon as day 8-10.
By then 5-6" grew to 18-20"
That works for me with some LST.
Also depends on strain too.
I don't transplant. I start/end
in 2 gallon pots. Any males get
planted outside.

I fail at forums.

I meant to post that:

6 plants inside my basement, open in the room, with plastic covers. Good temps/humidity. growing under 6 42w 6500k cfls 18/6. Will change to 2700ks for flower.

They range from about 4-7 inches.

very cool, I am at about day 35. I am going to go count the nodes. For LST, when should I start them? Can I LST into/through flower or just in veg?

I was seriously considering LST'ing to improve canopy/height evenness. Any advice there? :joint:

I train all
through flowering. As long as a limb/branch is still able to bend, it
can be trained. As the name suggests
low stress training.

Cool. Can you peek into my other thread and see my plants? do you think it is time to start training them? (everything I read thus far about LST is very attractive!) :joint::weed:

Don't go to all 2700 for flower, make it about 30% 6500. In both stages you want a mix of light. I would also add watts for flower.

I hear you, however I still have no idea how many fems I will have, so I am counting on having more wattage per plant when I get further down the line.

LST'ing is a pretty simple way to conserve space and is just plain cool to do. i LST'd a bagseed plant from the time it had 3 nodes, it came out looking like a sweet ass spiral of dense nugg.
