is it early to sex my first lil plant?

Hey! this is my first ever attempt at growing. My plant is like a month and a half in and it looks great to me, but i was wondering if it is to early for it to show its sex.
any answers would be helpful!

your plant will show sex when its light cycle is changed, if your growing outdoors its gonna depend on the sun and how much light your plants get during the day if your growing indoors you can speed up the process by switching your light 2 a 12hr on/12hr off cycle good luck and nice plant!
 
it depends on where you live as to when nature will take its course check on it everyday...which you probably do... i know i do lol. my outdoor plants have been growing for about 2 months and they just showed sex 2 me about a week ago. and thy are about 4 feet tall now. but i also had a plant that was about the size of your plant that i transplanted to the same area and it showed sex at the same time the others did so it all depends

Not true. Once mature your plant will start to make preflowers. It's not the most accurate way to tell because sometimes male preflowers can look like female preflowers before pistils have emerged. Usually they mature at about 6 weeks depending on the strain. Don't chop a suspected male based on preflower examination until you are really good at checking preflowers. Best of luck my friend.

how is wat i said not true? his question wasnt about preflowers his question was about sex?.... and like you said its not accurate to go by preflowers anyway... so the advice i gave is the best advice for his question:clap:

u can start flowering any time u want brother....just switch to 12/12 and give it some red-spectrum light ...dat should do it...as a matter f fact some peope start from seed to harvest at 12/12..and some of them get nice yields...and yes..use the search function...u learn by reading posts of people with similar problems...and welcome 2 RIU :-)
