grow FAW has instructions on building all types of hydro setups. and HighTechGardening sells 400w HPS for 124... fletch sais he bought his from another site he got 600W HPS for about the same price.

pretty simple to build but im young, only 19 so im no master at building stuff so i figured i might as well buy it and know its right instead of trying to rig something up myself that would end up not working in the end.

is it possible to start in soil and then transfer to hydro?
because i want to plan 10-15 plants then pick out the best 6 to plant hydro and toss the rest.

ideas?

In my honest opinion stealth hydro kits are A not worth the money and B not suitable for the job they were intended for.

It may be me but High Tech Garden Supply seems like a great deal.
400w hps and mh conversion.
says it fits as small as 3' by 3' space.

good? bad?

actually i went and looked back on the system and it seems it would be a pain to get it all together.
great price but its basically do it yourself.
but is it worth the time?

check it out and tell me!

I'd try not to get a bundle with stuff in you don't need.

First thing i would look at is what style of growing you want to do.

For a 4 x 4 space i would maybe look at a higher powered light providing you can deal with the heat ok.

If you can handle the heat a 1k light would do wonders in that space.

All depends on ventilation and height clearance.
