I asked where were these same principles when Bush was in office....that's a FAIR question....since the answer is already EVIDENT by your posting of this thread....
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
the premise of your question is that organised town-hall intimidation to the point of closure was common or even happened during the bush years. unless you plan on backing that up with documented evidence, i don't plan on answering it.I asked where were these same principles when Bush was in office....that's a FAIR question....since the answer is already EVIDENT by your posting of this thread....
Please define your terms. What do you mean by "American Progress?" Thanks ...we have the right to free speech. we do not have the right to block anothers freedom of speech. dems and repubs guilty of it! lets concentrate on american progress, not stifle anothers point of view. how is it helping to educate when you put out a viewpoint then not let the debate happen. oh yeah, gop doesnt want you to be educated, cant control the minds of an educated society, only an uneducated fearful society. gop is a fear monger! death panels? seriously, we are in america...come on!
No, it means for 8 years you couldn't agree more with presidential bashing, justified or not. If it was Bush, it was bad.the premise of your question is that organised town-hall intimidation to the point of closure was common or even happened during the bush years. unless you plan on backing that up with documented evidence, i don't plan on answering it.
liberals were not shutting down town hall meetings in the bush years. you made a baseless implication, and when your bluff was called you resorted to your typical distractive tactic. No, it means for 8 years you couldn't agree more with presidential bashing, justified or not. If it was Bush, it was bad.
Now some folks have some real concerns and are well within their rights to call the Congress and Pres. out on it. Now you don't like it....now you ASK whether shutting down the protests is an alternative..... sigh.... of course you won't answer it.....
