Help growing Shrooms

I have followed the methos for growing shrooms in this vid http://www.mushroomvideos.com/

I steam sterilized the jars. I coudnt find any glass jars so i found some microwavable tupaware jars they seemed to work fine.
Then i took them out of the pot after 90 min and the video didnt show that i needed to let them cool before i injected the spores. So i injectected the spores only a few moments after taking them out of the steaming pot. They were cool enough to touch but were still warm. Will this kill the spores or will it be ok.

I know it was a stupid mistake but i just taught if i followed the video to a "t" it would work. But the video made it look like he just took them out of the pot and injected the spores. It didnt say anything about letting it cool.

I used the same video along with this website http://www.fungifun.org/English/Pftek On fungi fun it said to let them cool for at least 5 hours or overnight is even better. Hopefully the jars were not to hot to kill the spores. I guess there is only one way to find out. Let me know how everything goes and good luck bro.

Ye lets hope. How did yours turn out. Mine are cudensis thai mushrooms. I realy hope it works out or il have to go and buy more spores.

Mine are still colonizing. I don't know why but its seems like they are taking a while. I think I should be able to birth them in about a week. I'm doing Z Strain.

Do you know how many mushrooms you get off each cake im doin 4 cakes but my jars are slightly wider than the guys in the video.

No I don't. This is also my first time growing mushrooms. Ill let you know how they turn out and what I yield.

I did the same thing to my first batch. They were wasted, never colonized and wasted an entire syringe. But keep them just incase, and knock up some new ones as well IMO. It's what I did and was able to pull 13g's wet from a 250ml jar Wild bird seed tek.

Ye still know sign of colognisation so im starting more, i will keep them just to see if they colognise thanks.

your little spores should be fine but i do have a key piece of advice. when colonizing you have to make sure that the container your growing in is small enough so that the mycelium or however u spell it has enough time to colonize before the medium your growing in (rye,corn,coco coir, whatever) starts to break down and deteriorate. If u have your growing medium in lager containers you more then likely wont get much of any yield
