6 More!!! (Jack the Ripper, Afgani #1, Blue Dream)

I have a ? after they start blooming when are they ready to come down?? I have a few in my yard and they are big and sticky can i leave them for too long or what

You have a 5-7 days window to cut em at their highest potency. To tell when they're readying u need a 30x magnifying glass (a jeweler's magnifying glass is perfect). What ur looking at r the trichomes (resin glands / thc). They look kind of like litte mushrooms, a stem with a lil ball or cap at the end. When they first start to form they will be clear, almost see though, then they will turn a milky tint. From there, they'll turn an amberish color, when that happens, they are at top potency, cut em! When ur checking the trichomes, u need to make sure u check all over the plant, some areas will be ready before others. Use ur judgement, when the majority of the trichomes are amber, cut her down! Research how to dry and cure, it's the most important part!

If u cut em down after the 5-7 day window, the potency will lower as time passes.

The Jack the Ripper still has a few days left. I'm thinking it'll be done on Saturday. The Jack the Ripper is looking delicious too! Not nearly as nice as the Blue Dream, but still looking super danky, especially after trimming.

I flowered and veg'd with the same type of lights - CFL's baby! They create the dankiest best smelling bud possible in my mind! The yield aint shit tho compared to hps.

Thanks. That blue dream is a phenomenal plant. Not only did it flower extremely fast but it's curing ridiculously fast too. These are like super plants! I smoked a joint of the frosty trim and god dam, smelt so good burning, tasted sweet and put a smile on my face for a good two hours. Such a happy high!

I checked out ur journal, good job, especially for a first grow.

The bubba and white widow grow completelt dif. The bubba will stay short and compact and the widow will be beastly! Both should create some danky buds! U have a grow journal for this one? And how far along is it?

Tips: make sure these r correct amd consistant, ph level, watering, temp, fresh air w/ co2.

UPDATE!!!

The Jack the Ripper finished on day 57 of flowering. Looks gorgeous and smells danky sweet!

The Jack the Ripper has some seeds on her too. I trimmed and cured all the Afgani #1's and Unknown Kush and got a ton of seeds from the Afgani #1. I'm hoping to get a good amount of seeds from the Jackt the Ripper. I want to only grow the Jack the Ripper x Afgani #1 and the Blue Dream x Afgani #1.

I agree with everything you have said about the Blue Dream and its Cali origin, but I'm curious as to your comments about a hermie. I understand that a hermie will produce seeds on other plants, but don't see it as a major problem that would fuck up my entire grow. I think my grow proves that a hermie does not ruin a crop. What about a hermie makes the bud non-smokable? Have you seen the my blue dream? And let me tell you, the blue dream smokes so good, smells so dank, tastes so sweet, and puts you on another level all spacey, happy with all smiles!

Haven't tried the others but they all look good and smell dank! The Ripper has a really potent smell too and she hasn't even started to cure!

Now don't get me wrong, I would prefer to have a crop that has no seeds, because it will produce a bit (real small) larger yield and well, there are no seeds to that need to be picked out. But as far as quality goes, I have no complaints from growing a hermie with my other plants. I mean hey, I got over 50 seeds now and that means I don't have to spend $15 a clone or to buy seeds, so that's another plus.

As for the oscillating fan (asuming you weren't really talking about a "isolation" fan), I don't have one. I do however get a lot of air movement through my room and various placements of small fans. I'd like to get a small 4" oscillating fan but I have no idea where to get one... ANY IDEAS?

Please comment back about the hermies, I am very curious to why you think they are so disastrous.

The Sour Grape started the flowering phase yesterday. The fun has begun! Give it a few weeks and then we'll start to see some bud formation. I am not sure if I will do an entire journal for this next one. This one was a lil too time consuming for an already busy schedule. But I will definitely take some pictures so everyone can see. I upgraded my system too so this next crop should be looking even more danky than these!

I got 6 Sour Grape clones from a club called Organica located in Marina del Rey. The only thing is Organica has been shut down, and I think too.

Holy shit, nice blue dream. Thats strange your yield was so small. Mine look like yours did at harvest and they have more than 50 days left of flower. Don't have those elongated capitate trichs either. Mine seem smaller. These pictures were around day 21 ish.
