OK my ? is this does the NPK ratio on the bottle or jug really matter cause i have hydro ferts nutriplus and their npk ratio is 7-11-4 or something like that and thats A+B, but i also have some plant prod(cheap shit) and it npk is 10-52-10 so really what is the best, what makes hydro nutes so special when the npk is what were supposed to go by. any takers :joint: :?

it's sad that you're so impatient! NPK is important for the ratio, not how big the numbers are. also quality over quantity, solubility in water, and the fact that it takes a lot more than just nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium to grow healthy plants are important for hydroponic nutrients. your generic home depot fertilizer isn't formulated to provide 100% of the plant's nutrition as is needed in hydroponics.

He said it very well. It doesn't really matter how high the number is as much as it matters the ratio of the numbers and when you are using which nutes. And the two major differences in soil based nutes and hydro nutes is that hydro nutes need to be able to dissolve almost completely in water and they need to have more complete nutes to support that plants.

yes but im using hydro nutes on my outdoor right now plus some micro of course, but i have some plant prod generic thats 10-52-10 and it claims to be completely water soluble along with the essential micros like mangenese, zinc, iron, copper all of which are chelated. also it includes boron,,molybdenum. rapid root growth is also guaranteed.

:-?I don't know if it is i'm still using hydro nutes myself just want to hear opinions on wether it could be just as good of a source for nutes seeing as with hydro nutes you need a seperate source for the micros, thats why i needed to get a micro mix as well. I plan on trying the plant prod plant starter fertilizer today so I will let you know on sunday probably what the results are lol.:joint: I just started preflower about two weeks ago and my buds are just starting to form cant wait only fed with flower ferts once so far so today will be my second feeding also.
