well put a front on that thing put in a less noticable fan, and you should be good 2 go.

unless hes got a clone source, plant alot. (personal experience here) you never really know how that male/female ratio is gonna come out. and just sprouting 1 or 2 at a time, you could get lucky first time out, or you could get males 4 times in a row(sigh). but maybe this time, im tired of killing clones (i was cloning before i knew sex just in case)

but yea give it a shot

Do you mean actual wattage, or "equivalent" wattage?

The setup will work, since it has the basics of light and air movement. You will not be able to flower in there whilst it is open like that, but for vegging a small plant it should get the job done.

For growing purposes, the equivalent wattage is a useless figure.

Either way though, the box doesn't look too big, so a couple of 30-ish watt cfls should be fine. If you can squeeze more than two in there, even better, but they should be adequate anyway. Just keep the plant nice and close to the light while it grows.

Haha, you got that right. :bigjoint:

Yes, to initiate flowering, you need to put the plant on a 12/12 schedule, which means 12 hours of total, uninterrupted darkness per day. You will also airflow during the dark period, which means extraction. At a basic level, a PC fan at the top will do the job for a box that size, and some holes at the bottom for intake of fresh air. The intake holes and the extraction point will have to be made in such a way that light can't enter.

Be aware that plants usually stretch 2 to 3 times theirsize when you flower them, and if you grow from seed, the plant will need to grow for a while before it is mature enough to flower.

It will be a challenge to flower in a box that small, but it can be done. You will probably need to employ some form of training to keep the plant small enough. Check the GrowFAQ at the top of the page for some info on this.
