Well I don't know about Triz291, but in the last couple of weeks I believe it's good to flush any remaining nutes out of the soil in order to get a smoother smoke. Obviously you can't just flush them all out in one watering. It's like a gradual flush period of 2 weeks where nutrients slowly diminish and the plant is forced to used it's stored nutrients in the foiliage. If tons of nutes are present in the bud then it crackles, pops, tastes bad, and is harsh.so you your diabolical plan is to starve your plants of nutrients for 2 weeks while she is flowering? brilliant.
looks like the strain top 44 and if it is then its finished man and flush her for the last 2 weeks and your good to grow broHey guys I know that a general rule of thumb is to flower till week 6 and flush for 2 weeks(till week and then you harvest. I have heard that some strains ripen faster or slower then other. For instance some strains are supposed to finish in as little as 50 days where others can take up to 90 days, but i believe that most strains finish in between 50-70 days. Anyway I have this strain called purple ponic. I would say almost 50% if not a little more of the hairs are dieing back. It is also quite frosted.
She is on week 5 and I was wondering if you guys think I should start flushing so i can harvest on week 7?
Regardless of what you call it or how you think it works, it is what it is. You are starving them of nutrients when they need them the most because you read some mysticism about it on a forum somewhere.Well I don't know about Triz291, but in the last couple of weeks I believe it's good to flush any remaining nutes out of the soil in order to get a smoother smoke. I wouldn't call it starving her necessarily. Here's the way I think about it. All through out the plants life you are just stuffing her face with food trying to make her the most overweight plant around. When you start to get around harvest time She has been eating so much food that shes constipated and is becoming unhealthy. So you give her prune juice(plain water with maybe some mollases or light nute doses) for the last 2 weeks and she is finally able to shit out all of the waste, therefore making her healther(smoother smoke).
