you were surprised weed can be died in an oven? Of course it will taste like crap. and not be as potent as the real thing, but many things - including wet socks - can be dried in an oven.

a proper cure is the way to go...potency increases, flavor increases and burn quality increases....
i have done it tho....set your oven to 130-150..my ovens lowest is 170 so i crack the door and with a thermometer i find where 150 is....usually right next to the hinge on the door. keep rotating the weed till the desired moisture is reached. a tin foil tray/cookie sheet can be used to contain large amounts, just remember to turn every 5 minutes.

I used to use the over for a desperation quick-dry, back in the 80's, but I prefer using the microwave method.
just give it short - 15 - 20 sec. bursts on high, and then turn it. Just repeat until it's smokable.
There's nothing like a good cure though

If your in that big of a hurry chop the bud up and let it dry overnight,this is still no good it takes weed a couple of weeks to get the potency up

and ive heard the microwave method is best at 5-10 second bursts on defrost, even though im against this method

dont dry your buds in the oven people weed taste and smells better with time... you can dry them in a brown paper bag in the sun this way they dry and dont have to worry about mold... drying them in the oven will give them a harsh smoke,,,whats the rush? if the temp is to hot it can turn un process thc to unwanted chemicals which is something you dont want if you plan on sellin it or just want the best buzz... Dont do it!!!

i dry my taster buds in the oven.. set the oven to warm put the buds in a wooden bowl put on middle rack leave oven door crack open dry for a couple of hours..i was at some dudes house years back and he put some moist bud in the oven for an odd amount of minutes and when he took it out i was actually suprised it worked..does anyone know exactly how to do this? wrap it in tin foil? broil? how long? anybody do this

Anyone used Drierite, silica, or CaCL2 to speed the curing process? I've used Silica and the calcium chloride to dry, err, edible mushrooms in the past and was done quickly, with the help of a fan. Just curious how that would affect bud as mushrooms taste like shit at the best of times so I couldn't say if the chems helped or hurt.

if you do it in the oven just make sure you don't go over 120 degree's F. with the oven cracked after that your just going to vaporizing the weed. and your want to flip in every 15 minutes for awhilel till you can see that your weed is dry enough then after that you can cure them in glass just like drying for a couple weeks then doing it just a lil faster way. but check it out this way and hit me up homie

The microwave method works fine and as a matter of fact I am high as fuck right now with some kush I just dried in the microwave. I wrap it in a wet paper towel, set the power to 50% and on 15 seconds and off 15 seconds. In about 2 minutes (microwave time) its ready.
