Toxic grow tent...?

nice grow tent...what lighting are you intending on using?
Im no expert on grow tents...but Im pretty sure that when looking for a grow tent you need to avoid PVC for toxicity issues.

The one you gave a link to says:

-Thick, reflective white-colored inner PVC lining

Like I said, I'm no expert - so do more research. If you do a search for "grow tents" in the SEARCH tab at the top - you'll find a bunch of posts from other RIU members with more info.

g'luck dude - aside from the PVC - the tent looks awesome

as long as you can keep temps low, you SHOULDNT need to worry about toxic pvc fumes damaging your plants

I have mine hooked up to a 6" CoolTube and it cools just fine. I think I have a 450ish cfm fan.

i used pvc poles and poly to make a tent had no problems. However the hydro store guy said dont buy the pvc or other tents that can be toxic. mylar is ok.
i dont know how else to tell unless they say nontoxic. Heat will break down pvc and i was told very high heat is what brings out the toxins in the shity tents.
400 w hid gets hot enough to require some form air conditioning in small space.
i went with
Hydro Crunch 60" x 31" x 80" Hydroponic Grow Tent
by Hydro Crunch
MILLIARD 36" x 36" x 73" 100% Reflective Mylar Hydroponic Grow Tent with Window, Great for Indoor Planting and Early Seedling Starters
by Milliard
from amazon . they dont say nontoxic but have brand names and good reviews so fingers crossed does anybody know about these tents or a list of brands that are toxic or nontoxic.
or how hot before the bad ones start releasing toxins
links to research or know the effects of the possible toxicity i hear its serious.

Post a new thread my friend. There are many options for purchase from complete kits to individual pieces. There are things you may not think of in advance and people can help you with that.
Good luck and enjoy the ride. I started in April and my first harvest is just about done the cure. Soooooo worth it.
