light question

I have never grown indoors but I am going to attempt. I have been looking around for what type of lights to use and what lights to switch to while flowering. If anyone has any suggestions please help. Thanks.

well i have only grown maybe 4 or 5 plants before but i have always used the same light.

im not really sure what kind it is but you can see it in the thread i just posted like 3 minutes ago.

the package on it only said "Grow Light"

you want around 2100k for flowering. more red. 4000k-6000k for veg. more blue.. the amount of light, lumens, required is up to how many plants. 1 plant only would do great with about 2-4 65w CFLs available at home depot for 15$ each. this amount of light would grow 6 plants, but not produce dense buds. ALso while flowering, the plant uses A LOT more light

alright thanks a lot. think i may just buy a bunch of those lights at home depot. will they be str8 for veg too

more than straight bro. the best thing about lighting, when you buy more, just add to what you already got, now matter the color spectrum. just watch out for light heat. CFLs dont produce much

aight thanx. i need to find a pure indica strain but it sux cuz there aint much of that around here
