too much light for seedlings?

Hello all,
This is my second grow and I am really lookin forward to it :blsmoke:
There is a 3X4 closet:
16 x 4 ft T8 fluorescent (4 on each wall) (45000 lumens)
16 x 45w CFL (on top) (44000 lumens)

The seeds germinated well and sprouted well. Now they have 3 or 4 days since they sprouted and most of them have the first two big leaves curled ... kinda weird (I'm gonna post some pics just a lil later today).
Do you guys think that it could to much light for them right now?

Also last night, the temp went to 60 for about 2-3 hours. Is that too low for seedlings?

60's pushing it w/seedlings. Got a heating pad? I don't know that too much light applies?

a lot of light it just not necessary for seedling. this hurts when they generate too much heat. obviously they are not but yah low 60's is too low. you want ~80's . BTW plz post a pic of that lighting setup. that is one of the highest combined lumens of any CFL/FL i've seen

Your lights are all way too far away from the plants. Those CFLs look like they are about 4 ft away from the plants, and the floro tubes, too.

Lotta wasted light going on.

Dude, I don't think you understand what's hapening
m there. Obviously the guy has alota lights. It really does not mater if they are a lil farther from the seedlings. And that is not the reason for curling leaves. It is prob just a lil bit overwatered. They will be fine

Look at the title of the post: Too much light for seedlings?

I was addressing that. No, it's not too much light. Yes, it might be plenty of light but not much of it is actually reaching the plants. CFLs and floros have to be SUPER close for the plants to get the maximum benefit, otherwise it's mostly wasted.

the lights from the top are at about 1 ft above the plants. the temps are between 78-82.
i was thinking to veg them like this, and flowering them with a 400w hps.
