Rain Hurting My Grow

I am a new grower. I started to experiment with understanding my grows this year. My current grow is doing good, but I had a hard rain last night and it caused all my stems to droop down where it's pretty straight with the ground. I shook off as much of the excess water to keep the bud from rotting. I put up some tomato cages around to keep the stems from snapping. I actually think it's fine due to that more sunlight is able to get to the center of the plant better now. Looks like I'm pretty much 6 weeks into flowering and am getting a lot of new growth in the nodes and it's getting more hairs as the days go. I will post a pic later today and hoping the sun will dry up some of the excess water.

I basically have been keeping my grow simple. I used basic Miracle grow for about 6 months into my veg cycle and switch to flowering nutes for the past 6 weeks. There has not been too much stretching since I have a great spot in the sun. I am seeing a lot of internode growth and the colas are getting more pistils everyday.

I was wondering if anyone can give me some finishing tips before harvest. Some of the older hairs are starting to turn red / brown so the rain came in the right time for me to start flushing. I figure I'm going to do a molasses flush before I finish. I am starting to see a stage of bugs recently. Do you see any harm with doing a tobacco / soap spray to keep the bugs from harming my girl before finishing?

The pics posted are from last week. I will post the new pics soon.

Peace. X-0~ :joint:

Well, WHat i did 3-4 years ago when i had the same problem was; Build a portative protector to recover your plants :)

The tomato cage is a good idea and with the rain you will have to watch the buds dont start to mold it happened to me and it sucks but i still smoked it through a water bong i felt more safe that way but you said you wanted to give it molasses and you are starting to get bugs well if you give it molasses that will also attract bugs so i would be learey about that

Thanks for the advice. I will just do a straight water flush till finishing and add molasses if the bugs are in control. I usually inspect every bud and squash the ones I see. Doesn't look like I have an infestation, just some new ones trying to live with my girl. I didn't know if tobacco juice and soap will do anything to her since the nicotine is pretty harsh on plants. I don't want to promote mold either.

I'll keep you posted on how this goes. Hoping to have something nice in a few weeks.

BE SURE TO GET DRY ASAP......BUDS ARE GREAT FOR MOLD PRODUCTION ONCE THEY ARE WET SO (((WATCH EVERY DAY))) IF YA CAN.

IVE USED TAPE AND STRING AND STICKS TO SUPPORT BRANCHES THAT NEED HELP FOR THE FAT HEAVY BUDS

IF YA SPOT SOME MOLD GET A FUNGICIDE ASAP AND ZOT THE SPOTS AFTER REMOVING SLIMEY MOLD SPOTS

I LOST A HUGH COLA FROM MOLD AS IT GROWS FROM THE INSIDE JUST A WEEK AFTER GETTING WET AND YA CANT SEE IT TILL ITS BAD..LOOK FOR A FAN LEAF TO DROP AND TUG...IF IT COMES OUT EASY IT PROBLY HAS HAIRS FROM MOLD ON IT..
PICK OFF MOLD SPOTS AND USE THE SPRAY TO KILL SPORES AND THE REST OF THE PLANT CAN BE SAVED IF THAT HAPPENS....AFTER REMOVING OUR COLA THE REST OF THE PLANT KICKED BUTT SINCE THE COLA WAS NOT USING THE ENERGY.....
HAPPY TRAILS :fire::fire::fire:

This is one of the things that is not good about outdoor grows.I always look for a spot that still recives light but under a tree to at least give me a chance. If the rain carrys on the buds will mould but it looks like it might be a garden grow if it is and rain is forcasted then cover with some viscrean clear plastic.Grow strains that are more hard to wet weather too like white rhino and a.m.s.I have a peacemaker that i just put out in may and shit she is big the first white hairs are just popping of her today.

Thanks for the tips. I have been seeing some good deals for AMS as of late. Definitely something to get started for next years grow. It should be better after I get a complete grow under my belt.

Let me know how that Peacemaker finishes. Would love to see some pics before harvest.

Peace. X-0~
