When to change pot size?

After my seeds germinated I put them in plastic cups. I started the germination process on the 2nd of Sept. They cracked on the 4th and I put them in cups. Today I was looking and I see roots at the bottom of the cup and on the sides in some places. Its only been 8 days, should they need to be changed already or are these growing unusually fast?

16 0z clear plastic cups. I should have taken a picture of the roots once I cut the bottom of the cups off but I didnt. I can post a pic of them in cups and of them transfered in 1 gal bags. The strain is New Purple Power. My question is not so much about plant size as it it about root development.

The first 2 weeks are really to get a good root system established, that's why seedlings seem to lag. As soon as they start proper veg, they shoot up. It's normal to have massive root growth - big healthy roots is good for big buds and strong plants. But once they start to get root bound, you want to up the pot size. I dont like cups. I never use em.

change pot when the plant stops growing or slows down alot, try to change when theirs lots of roots so transplant before it gets routbound

That was my first time using cups, it worked out pretty good me. I was able to see the roots. The sales person at the hydro store I was at recommended Root Juice to aid in root growth ( I wonder if that had anything to do with it?)... I looked at the back the of the bottle of Root Juice and Big Bloom and they are the same thing with a slight difference in concentration %'s that got me thinking he sold me something I really didnt need. But what do I know?

get em outta those clear cups, that will stunt root growth, roots hate the light.
They look normal, neah they aren't growing like crazy or anything.

You DONT need nutes for another 2-3 weeks, don't use it unless you want fried seedlings.

See everyone on here says stay away from nutes when they are seedlings. Makes sense to listen to people here rather than the back of the fox farm bottle & the salesman @ the hydro shop that says use from from seedlings.

Yup, heres the thing man, the directions are NOT for growing weed either, gotta keep that in yer head.

Yeah RIU and EXPERIENCE speaks alot louder than the fuck head trying to make a buck, or the directions.
