AK47 X LR2, do I change from 24/0 to 18/6?

Hey everyone, I am about 7 1/2 weeks in on my AK47 X LR2 grow. I have kept my lights on 24/0 the whole time. I understand that this can be done, but I also understand there are benefits with periods of darkness. This is my first successful grow so excuse my newbness. I think I have 3 weeks or so until she is ready. I'm wondering if I should change to 18/6 for the remaining time? Will there be a big benefit in doing this or should I leave the lights on as is?

AK47 LR's recommend 18/6 throughout and thats what I always used. 24/0 is also fine with them and if everything is fine, just leave it be. You only have 2-3 weeks left and I wouldnt throw them a curve ball at this stage even thou it probably wouldnt hurt anything.

would be good to drop/shrink the photo period gradually. each day knock off 30 minutes or an hour of time until you reach your desired photo period. This helps by simulating the natural progression of the sun. less shock on your plants.

yeh idd never but them under 24/0,its just utterly unnatural,20/4 is supposed to be the best,im going to do 18/6 for my ak autos and easy ryders, they seem to grow much much more with a dark period,

Right on, thanks for the input. I agree it definately does seems unnatural and I don't want to shock them too much with a drastic change. With that being said, I think I like the idea of a gradual progression to 18/6 with 30 minutes to an hour knocked off each day. Hopefully this will make for more bud growth. :weed:

It should give them an unstressed grow cycle. As far as giving more buds, well cant really say, good luck to you bro!

Thanks man, I guess I should have said "bigger" not more. There are buds, just want the biggest I can get at this point! Things are going good right now, and things are only going to get better.

20/4 is what they suggest throughout the grow.

Good luck bro. lets see some pics of these ladies!
There's only one lady, just getting a feel for this. Here are a couple of pictures. If you would like to follow it until the end here is my thread https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/229326-how-things-looking.html. Didn't intend on myself continuing to update it when I started it but I'm getting hooked. I plan on updating at least every week from this point on. I notice what is supposed to be my cola bud is VERY bushy, not sure why. What gives? There is bud underneath all of those leaves, it seems to be coming together. There are some spots where I had nute burn in the past. It seems my new growth in the middle is a bit yellowish/crispy, but it doesn't seem to be slowing my bud growth.

I cannot even begin to tell you how much better yours looks than mine did. It was a little mutant, I barely got a half off it. My second, which I just started, looks more normal. Nice job!

Cool man, thanks! That's some pretty encouraging stuff to hear. Was it an autoflowering dwarf?

Well, again good to hear. For it being the same strain and you getting a half out of a plant you say wasn't progressing as good as mine, I'm happy. I'd be happy with an oz. if that is the case, that will hold me off until I do it right next grow. I am already planning it out.

I just finished a violator kush, just as stout as the auto with twice the punch, Good stuff!
