Congrats!! always nice to pull in a ripe harvest!
LOL. The guy before me bumped it; I didn't even check. Thanks for the great answer dude - but look at the date on this post. That question was 2-3 grows ago and I ended up harvesting some great buds two weeks after my question was originally posted.
If your looking for tasty bud that actualy gets you stoned. Then you need to waite till the trics start to turn amber and then flush for two weeks . And I didn't hear anyone ask you about why your not going to cure the bud. Nice and slow will always pay off in the end. Just my 2 cents .
I left the aqua globes and a gallon of water slowly dripping through a wick into the pot. It must have kept it watered well because when i got back it was perfect, crystals, size, and getting dry for the harvest.LOL. The guy before me bumped it; I didn't even check.
What did you end up doing? How did the plants look when you came home?
What you said is false. sorry. You have degraded THC if you do that.If your looking for tasty bud that actualy gets you stoned. It is funny you say that. My sister just went out of town for 2 weeks and asked me to water her plants every 2 days. I always tell her that she over waters. I guess she soaked the hell out of them before she left. I stopped by after the first week and they looked good so I hit them with a little water. When she came back she was gushing how great they looked. I think it was the first time that they were NOT over watered LOL.I left the aqua globes and a gallon of water slowly dripping through a wick into the pot. If he waits until he has amber trichomes starting and then flushes for two weeks he could lose a good bit of THC.

Once the trichome color has reached mostly milky-white/cloudy the THC level has peaked. By the time trichomes are mostly amber the THC has begun to oxidize and degrades into CBN.

By waiting until amber has begun and then giving them two more weeks to flush that slight amber will get darker and darker and may hit brown and once brown the crop is total compost, and not worth much more than that just previously either.

If someone wants couch-lock pick a strain that has a 1.0% or higher CBD level and then try to time their flushing so when it is finished the trichome color is just less than mostly amber and they will retain peak THC levels and because of the high CBD percentage they will have the couch-lock they want without having to trade THC for CBN that degrades the high/stone overall.

Increased levels of CBN cause a confused, messed up feeling instead of a head high mixed with a body stone.
It also can cause a buzz where you get the feeling that you are just about to get really high .. and then you wait .. and you think .. it feels like things are about to take off but it doesnt .. then, hummmm .. this must be creeper I feel like Im about to get really high but it just isnt happening.
And it never does.
Increased levels of CBN causes herb to tease you instead of please you so why not avoid it if at all possible.
If someone wants couch-lock, get it the best possible way, through genetics, instead of trying to fine tune something beyond a level it can be fine tuned to before there is damage and loss done.
