Stranded is Stumped

 93 TO ALL,

Mkay, so, I have several small plants right now. They were given to me by a close bro about 4 months ago. They are around 5 months old. Now when I got them, nothing came to mind about truly taking care of them. Just watered them, and put em in the sunlight. About 5 in a single 4 gallon bucket. The soil was perfect whatever its mix was. They sprouted about 3 to 4 inches. Got some babe leafs on em. The stems started out pretty thin, but average thin. Just not strong and thick. All this in 4 weeks. I took em home, and bullshitted with them. 3 to 4 months down the road, now, I just got a quick spirt of interest, then it caught on from there. I want to save these plants and do more with others. I transplanted one plant, my favored, with purple on its tips of pre bud, to a new pot, about 6 inches with a circumference of around 4 or 5 inches. I filled it with Miracle grow potting mix. Its good for now. But the other ones are still in the 4 gallon jug. The soil is drained, origional soil. What should I do with them? transplant them all in separate buckets? I also need a insight on what light system set ups to buy, its cold up here in the mountains.:peace: THNX PEEPS. keep on rockin in the free world.

yes, you need to put each plant in 1 bucket, that way they have lots of room for growth, you want to buy a 400-1000 watt high pressure sodium, ranging from 80 bucks to 400 bucks, u can get nice one or a cheaper one, pending on your $$ situation, then youll need some fans, some cheap nutes, some cheap soil (notice i didnt say cheap fans, dont be stingy on the fans) get a hygrometer (thermostat and rh reader) and youll be started, after that i can help you further

+rep if i helped in any way

I don't like MG. You should look up a recipe for a homemade soil. perlite mix of some sort. Sounds like these ladies would like to keep a clean environment. Just check that there are no bugs living in the soil you have now.

Goodluck. welcome to RIU.

alright my dude, let me take a crack at this, FROM WHAT I'VE READ,what you'll want to do is transplant them into separate pots(maybe 4 gallon pots),and the best soil that the best growers use is foxfarm ocean forest,i grow in hydro by the way,and as for lights, since you live up in the mountains and it gets pretty cold up there i would recommend maybe a 400 or 600 watt hps/mh switchable ballast,i know some folks are gonna tell you to get a higher watt light but i figure that you probably would do fine with a 600 watter as long as you use mylar to maximize your light coverage and keep the lights at a reasonable distance away from the plants(maybe 2 feet above) you'll do fine, hope this helps peace

Yeah, thnx guys, love the feedback, but this seems more of a better option. Yeah, money is sour these days. But im looking into Sunny Girl Gardens top bottom mix. From what I have seen of gro4me's( youtube dude) Creations, good light and good temp and your plants will sprout up to three feet or maybe four in ten days. Look him up. If I get good, I wanna put up some of his systems, like a review thing. :joint:
