one 600w hps or four 150w hps

Dude, buy a good f'n bulb.

you can buy a couple of the 150's if you want to, but if you want to be serious, get the 600w

150's don't have the same quality of the 600w bulbs, and 600's typically provide more lumens per watt than ANY wattage hps produced.

only reason to go with multiple 150's over a 600 is if you're doing a sog setup, because you can use one light for each stage of plants.

be aware of magnetic ballasts, they draw a ton of amps for the first little while until the bulb is hot. Having multiple ballasts turn on at the same time may trip a breaker. I agree that having many short plants under multiple lights may be your best bet unless you get a 600w and a mover...

P.S. This thread is trashed, I thought it was about lighting... I don't respect post whores... Especially post whores I read about being narcs.... PLEASE KEEP IT ON TOPIC.

that all is history and it looks like your chances of coming back are too , e-mails to FDD and RIU explaining how you were sticking up for a member would have done more for you then these threads under bogus user names

Good because this thread is about 1x 600W light or 4x 150W lights...

Go create another thread to cry in. Oh my bad, you already did...

So stay in there if you have nothing to at to the OPs topic.

Again PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC, this shit is annoying to the people asking questions and trying to answer questions. I had to wade through a page of GARBAGE just to see if someone mentioned starting amps on multiple magnetic ballasts being an issue.

^^might say the same thing about you^^

um 1x600w is better than 4x150w unless you need to fill a long space, even then a 600w on a light mover would probably be better as well.
