20-25 Plant CFL Grow

Sup guys planning to grow alot of budds haha.

Planning to use a setup of 20 femmed seeds with 105watt 50k CFL's.

I might add 400 hps light for 10 of them for 1 week and then switch during flowering.

The other 10 plants will be using the 105watt CFL's to flower, and switching also on and off.

1st Question is will the changing from cfl to hps on and off effect the plants in a good way or bad way?

P.S. all the plants and lights will be together so all the plants will be getting more or less of each light

2nd Question is will i be getting 3 or more oz's per plant using this setup?(of course im going to use nutes + panda paper etc..)

3rd Question is should i stick with just CFL's for now.. or try the method i mentioned above?

Last but not least half of them are going to be white widow, what would u recommend the other half to be? Preferably something dank and has a high yield.

Hi aznight, good luck growing to ya. And hopefully I can help you with some of those questions that you have, im not expert but I've got a few grows under my belt. When you say "105 watts" is that total or do you have CFLs that are 105 watts and how many? I ask because if you're going to have that many plants you're going to need a decent amount of lights. For CFLs, i'd say at least 3-4 depending on the wattage.

As far as going from CFL to HPS, you're only going to see good things due to the greater intensity of the lights and these plants LOVE light. Just make sure you keep the HPS light if you get one someone around 24"-36" away from the tops. Or you can get it a lil closer if you have decent ventilation and fans blowing air.

Getting 3-4 oz's may be a stretch cause thats a lot of plants that'll be in one area. Whats ur set up like, soil, dwc, aero, etc? If you set up the lights correct and get a fair amount of veg time in and take REALLY good care then you might be able to make something happen. Aiming for 2 seems a bit more logical lol but keep hope alive!

Again, they LOVE light so a good mixture of the HPS over top of the canopy of plants and CFLs as supplemental side or above light will work wonders for you in the end. The greater the intensity, the more bud, the more dense it gets, the more coated in THC it gets which is the main thing that gets you high, and just yea...more and more haha

What type of seeds? Well, what's ur preferences I'll ask you? You cant go wrong with White Widow, maybe Super Silver Haze, AK 47, Blueberry, Lowryder (Automatic strain that autoflowers, no switching of lights...oh yea!) You're yields and dankness do go back to genetics, but mostly to "your" green thumb sir.

But just keep absorbing all the information on the site aznight, it'll help you out with anything imaginable. There's tons of great people on here willing to help out. Any more questions man, just hit me up.

Im ordering from a website that sold 105 watt cfls that are 50k for 21$ probably buy 20 of them. And then buy 400 hps light for flowering.

The seeds im using are white widow from desjamann. I currently have 9 of them undergoing the bannana peel method so i have a higher chance of them being female.

Ill probably order femmed super silver haze, or trainwreck. (I wish their was A.T.F seeds around....)

anyways imma prolly start a journal when i start growing. bout 3 months... ugh......

How much does an oz cost around for you guys?

why not just get the 400 watt ballast and hood.. then spend 30 on a veg bulb instead of 100 bucks in bulbs and cords? I made the switch and it has paid off very well

I wouldn't be surprised if at least a handful of your seeds end up being hermis. If I were you, I would make a few mothers and just take cuttings. That way you can grow perpetually. If you set it up right, you can harvest every couple weeks. And I doubt you will make more than 2oz a plant unless you use some HPS along with a shitload of CFLs.

If you want to spend $420 on CFLs you might as well go HPS/MH unless you have heat issues ETC.

Btw, I have 25-30 plants currently growing under CFL and may finish CFL as well if you're interested, they are by seed so of course I am not expecting that many in the end but I think we're pretty similar here, check it out if you'd like in my sig.
