the quality of the weed the seed came from isnt an indicator on how good it is usually, its that the plant you got them from was not grown with much care. it would be alot better if the grower actually cared about quality instead of maximizing profits with as little effort as possible. the plants enviroment is more important than genetics(if u grow the best strain in the world under bad conditions it wont be very impressive even though it came from the best weed in the world while a bagseed from some shitty bud can blow you away in quality under perfect conditions,

true, but it is not going to differ to the level you would think, the commercial weed is just grown for size, no care about seperating the men from the girls, and then it's dried in the sun and bundled together - no wonder it smokes a bit ropey when you get it. Check a book called The Reefer Men, talks about the early weed smugglers from the US and how some of them trained the Thai's in improving their weed. Good read. Anyway, to much typing, not enough :joint:I am out bru, laters.:joint:

I just smoked the buddz I slowly cured and OMG thats was 100 times better than the quick dry buddz from the same plant I also cured them with orange peel since it was drying out to quick and I could start to smell that hay smell

Good to hear.
How do you dry and cure? I can imagine drying in SA is quick....
For me, hang for 5 - 7 days, then in a paper bag for another 5-7 days, then into glass jars. I dry in my stanky room which in the main area is norm 22-24 degrees - it's gonna go down now - winter is hear - freakin freezin here 2day geez.

I let them dry for 5 days and then starting curing in those granny jars I replace the orange peel daily and let the buddz take in the air for 20 minutes I did this for 2 weeks and just tested a bud daily,I will still cure untill the weekend and then let my people test it, I'll put some pics up of Jozi (not the most beauitful city in the world but decent) I loved the braai pic.

Temps are ranging from 20-27 in Jozi but its so dry. So I have started my outdoor grow I just need to water it everyday

Howzit swazifarmer

I water my outdoor grow at least 2 time a day.
The African sun surely shine a little bit hotter than other country.

Nice to see some South African on RIU!!!

Thanks man,

We're in early spring but by late november I think I'll be watering 2 a day

I'm in the 5th week of my first grow from bag seed.

4 plant. Hopefully one of them are 'GIRL' . . .

I'll put some pictures out when they start flower, but my outdoor plants grow
relatively slow compare to the indoor grow. Even they are getting 7 hours of direct
sun and 3 hours of indirect light.

But good things take time!

'Keep Growing and Keep Rolling!'

I get around 5-6 hours of direct sunlight I didn't choose the best place to plant outdoors and my indoors plants get 24 hours I planted a pure sativa strain outdoors SWAZI and Indica dom seed indoors both bagseed but both very different the outdoor strain was the same seeds I used for my 1st grow so I know what its about, I'm looking forward to the Indica plant since the bud I smoked from it was banging
