It's pretty safe. If you're really worried, go get yourself one of those 5 dollar gift credit cards at walmart. You can just add money to it as you need it. It doesn't have your name attached to it.

Pretty safe. I get everything on-line, there are no good gardening stores around here. I never buy all my stuff from one place though.

That last line is key imo.

Seperately all the items besides of course seeds are pretty innocent.

If you need something like dirt which is expensive to ship and are somehow nervous about buying a few bags of it...don't be. But if it makes you feel "better" buy a few packs of cheap vegetable seed packets at the same time that you buy your dirt.

If $3 worth of random veggie seeds makes you 400% more comfy plopping three bags of dirt on a store counter? The $3 was well spent.

Safer than going in and out of a hydro store in your local town...

No shit. If I absolutely have to go there I send my partner:bigjoint: Otherwise I feel like I have a target on my back.

Online is safe. Who do you think is looking, and how? Everybody ships discreetly. It's not like the UPS guy is going to say 'here's your big illegal hydro setup. Enjoy!'

I'd rather much walk into the local agricultural shop and buy all my things, I think that's just paranoia, what are they going to follow you home, go inside your house and look at what your doing? (they being the police, or any other leo)

What makes that "Illegal hydro setup" illegal? Nothing.. for all they know your growing veggies, herbs, etc etc. a LOT of people grow their own foods (which last time I checked was not illegal) now of days due to the chemical processes/fertilizers used in now of days commercial veggies and things like that.

If police are good at one thing, it's profiling people. You don't think they know the difference between people who go there for gardening supplies and those growing pot?

Nobody going to my hydro store is growing veggies. Not indoors, not in quantities. I buy on the internet, how are STATE authorities going to follow that? The feds have more productive ways to get their information but they are not intereseted. But some enterprising LEO could jot down license plate #s in a parking lot on their own and check you out illegally and then you are in the crosshairs. I don't think this actually happens. I could be wrong. Store proprietors would have a legal case against law enforcement if they did; illegal restraint of trade, harassment, etc. If you go to a head shop and buy a bong does LEO follow you home and bust you for that 1/8th of shake you got? And online? Think about it. there is too much information and too many transactions. Like drinking from Niagara Falls. ?

Everyone is tooo paranoid. Probably smoking the wrong kind of weed!:-P

I buy most of my gear and seeds online! never had a problem. It is the best place to find the good deals/ If you are worried about linking you bank to it just get a pre paid cridit card that you can re charge.
good luck

I am in a similar situation as the initial poster and here is what I have come up with.

1. I ordered Souvenirs from attitude and nirvana. Both came within a week and are working out fine. I suggest you do not open the package for the first day or two incase someone caught on. Keep in mind, I ordered the "stealth" method and it wasnt stealth at all. If your package is one of the randomly searched ones they WILL find it. My Lawyer friend told me that if they wanted to bust you because of this they would wait until you get it, open it, and start germinating.. then call in the Warrant and bust you. If they come in and see the package sitting on the table because you had no idea who sent it to you, you are fine. Also keep in mind that the best thing a cop can do is get you to talk. Watch this for the best list of reasons why you should NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE, NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8z7NC5sgik

2. You should not be worried AT ALL purchasing HYDRO equipment. I bought from htgsupply and nehydro.com and everything came in unmarked packages quick and cheap. If you were carrying huge packages out of a local hydro store on a regular basis then that might catch someones attention. But keep in mind, none of that could be used in Court. Just like cops cannot sit infront of a bar and pull people over they suspect are drinking. We all know they DO do this, but what they do is wait for you to make a mistake and pull you over for that reason. Another thing that gets attention is not paying electric bills, problems with neighbors/landlords, and if oh for some reason cars are constantly going in and out of your driveway.

Other than that, be smart, quiet, and you will be fine.

I guess it all depends on where you live and how much the cops have to do, and your local laws. If it ain't worth their time, you don't have to worry at all. But some states have ridiculous growing laws, and very bored leos who would love to pop a grow and get their face on their local newspaper.

Ya'll too paranoid...

I'm sure they can tell who's growing herb and who is not, like someone else said, most of the people in my hydro shop are buying shit to grow herb with any way... But if you don't go walking in looking like a scum bag, but a half decent family person, blue/white collar worker nobody ever raises an eyebrow...

I've got a out door garden that I use organic nutes for which the only place that sells them are the agricultural shops, or hydro stores in my area...

So what's the fuzz gonna do , watch me buy some nutes or what ever, write my license plate # down, follow me home and "ASSUME" that I'm growing herb at that location, come busting my door down? And when they find absolutely nothing to do with marijuana on the property? If your smart about what you do you should have no problems in return.

People need to chill about buying in a city, or at your local shop, last time I checked it was not illegal to purchase these items.. what they speculate because of your appearance is all on you. Don't give reason, they won't have one.

Buy online all you want, I order a bit of things I can't find at the local shop, or get a better deal on.

Location does have a big difference too, if you within your legal limits in a medicinal state whats the big deal? Trying to go for a cash crop? Well.. Don't be a dumb ass

To each their own:peace:

I never have a problem using my local hydro shop, because I park in the back and drive one of my cars that's registered to an out-of-state address (also have no connection from my name to my grow show).

That being said, I'm a pretty paranoid phuck (as someone once said, there's not a lot of people sitting in jail who wish they would've been less careful about growing weed), so that's what works for me.

Of course, never use anything with my name on it - all cash, all the time.

If I need to order something from online, I have my hydro store do it for me and give them a little extra cash for their trouble. They have asked for a number or email that they can reach me at so they can let me know when something's been delivered for me, and I've told them "I'll just see you when I see you".

Also, I crack up whenever I walk in and they say "Hi Bob".
