Just to make sure to start flowering you switch the lighting to 12/12 right? But does it have to be an exact schedule or can it be approximately? i have had mine on 12/12 for like a week, when does it show the signs of flowering?

Howhigh is correct. You don't want to stress them with an inconsistent lighting schedule.

You MUST have a regular light schedule, especially when in flowering, the most important part being it must get at least 12 hours absolute darkness. The sex showing is dependant on strain and conditions, but usually the sex will show within two weeks, personally I use an additive to kick start the flowering process, I have used "Bud Blood" to good effect making the sex show within 3 days without fail, this is for both male and female.
