Height and Nutrient Problem, please help!

Easy all....

My first problem I've got is that I introduced my nutrients in the 4-5th week of veg, however after a couple of days the plants seemed to burn, droop and turn yellow, so I straight away switched back to using pure H2O and I think they're on the road to recovery, but my question is, how do I introduce nutes without burning them again? I thought they'd be fine taking them at 5 weeks??

And my 2nd question, one of my plants is around a week older than the rest and has reached the Veg height that I want her at, however the others aren't that big yet, how can I stop her growing vertically so the others can catch up??

Thanks in advance

Nutrients will burn plants when theres to much. You should use 1/4 strength at first then slowly up it. Ph and PPM are very important.
I dont know about 2nd ?

never listen to the package
fim you basically just cut off the top of the plant i usually will cut down 4 or 5 inches and than the rest will grow up and the plants side branches will all be more similar in hight and grow big

depending on plant size dnt cut more than a third off the top and leave any side branches and lower branches
