lookin good bruh.. to "not know shit" you look pretty much on point.. do u like the scrog.. having to deal with all thos branches and shit all the time?
Ha! Love that name, man!

Thanks! The people of RIU made it possible.

Yes! I like the scrog so far. I chose the v-scrog for the tight space in this cab and because the Salivas on the outside are climbing outa control. I have too many plants of different varieties and growth DNA this time around and I'm debating pulling my screen in this cab, cloning another crop of 3-4 each for the other cab wich will be Aero and starting 2 SCRoGs each having only one strain. BUT, I'm glad I was forced to get this up. I've learned a ton!

...as far as having to "deal with all those branches"... Well, I've found Dharma staring into the bright light manipulating my women around and learning how they react. It's some seriously sublime-time:blsmoke: I completely loose myself in there. in fact, I have a nice drummers throne that I sit on and stare/tink for hours.

I'm a sick individual:)

Thanks for the interrest and complement, TrynaGroSumShyt!

what size light is that in your cab McFunk? the HID in post #4 on the first page? Also.....how much (roughly) are the materials to build your own cab? I was thinking about building one for myself to stick in my closet.
Hey, newb19547!
Thanks for checkin' it out!

My flower light now is a 400w~HPS~GE.

The materials I used on the 2nd cab are Oak, Malimine(sp?)/Red oak. And an oak back. My cost was around $145 bones American. But that's Jack's wholesale price and we used material that was edge damaged and got a discount on top of that.

Thanks for your interrest, amigo!

You only have to really manipulate the branches for the first few weeks of flower and then they stap put for the rest of the time. An it is easy to move them around as long as you stay on top of it and dont let them get 12" through the screen and then try to pull them back through. and the pay off of having an even canopy where every bud pretty much gets equal light really pays off in the end and is nothing but helpful for people with height restrictions like in a cab or a short room. Commercial guys are the only ones where the time might not pay out, but even then I would be interested to see the weights of someone doing the usuall commercial sea of green and have the same setup scroged.

I'm a week into flower now... It's sorta' blasting off.

I'd be interested too. Why do you think time would be a factor? I would also be interested in seeing(and/or doing) a modular outdoor scrog.

It was simply having time to train all of those branches. Having a scrren like yours or mine but in 4'x10' dimensions and training 50 plants into a screen would take a lot of time compared to only 6 or so. Eventually I'm gona try a 1000w scrog.

what are your nutes/additives ...
Like I said, in the beginning... I hadn't a clue what to use growing small and inside and consulted a nearby friend who recommended the Grow-Big/CalMag in veg and feed EVERY day. Seemed to do the trick but next I'm going by the FF book. Though I have no indoor veg experience of my own to gauge it by.(Next time!)
Now I : Day1 Feed~Day2 No watering~Day3 Straight h2o~Day4 Feed... etc.

Here's the FF schedule I'm following now...

I'm not using the flush nute.

good choice.. i only see one thing that bothers me, is that you have schedule and u go by day instead lifting your pot to see if she's dry then waterin or feeding. you should let the pot be completely dry before watering again. helps to avoid root rot and it makes sure ure not over watering. i do mine on a ph'd water-wait til completely dry-nute'd water- etc in that pattern.. letting it dry out is also good for the root mass. but they look good so you must be doin it right

I read and was told that before. Thanks!
By the end of the no water day, 5 of the 6 are dry. One Mendoberry furthest from the fan doesn't completely dry until IT'S next morning(My 6pm). So, I cheat a little and water it less now and wait 'till night to get her wet.
PS... My cycle is ON@6:00pm~OFF@6:00AM
I'll be changing this soon 'cos I've missed a couple times getting in there before 6:00am

should get a cheap timer from wal mart or sumthin..
Ha! Sorry I made that unclear...
I have a powerstrip timer set at ON@6:00PM and OFF@6:00AM. Unfortunately my nocternal extracurricular activities(I'm in a band)have caused me to oversleep the 6am turn-off time and I can't get in there 'till I get home at 6 or 7pm. Not a biggie. Just whinin'

Hey McFunk.. your first op is looking great so far.. and your carpentry skills look like they will keep you busy building grow cabinets if you someday get bored or sick of growing...(don't know why or how that would happen, but u get the idea). I finished up my first scrog this summer under a 1000 watt HPS. The results were astounding as I had only tried growing with flouro's my first time. I kind of removed my screens early during my grow due to poor planning in the beginning. The only thing you have to worry about when removing the screens is breaking things. I used plastic lattice for my screen so it wasn't hard to go in and cut away small pieces with scissors and slowly free everything up. It looks like you put a metal screen in which means you will have to pull everything through the screen before removing it. I would say it would be best to leave it in place. It will provide stability to your plants when they start packing on all the bud weight.

If you haven't already..be sure to check out --- https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/192292-someguys-perpetual-parabolic-scrog-cabinet.html --- There might be some things in that journal that will prove useful to you. I didn't do my SCROG in a cab.. so that is one variable I cannot help you with.

Goodluck with the rest of the grow...subscribed and some throwing some rep your way--boulderhead

Thanks for the support, Boulderhead!
I wish that were my shop! Jack is a true craftsman and I've learned a lot from him. I've tried to stay clear of wood projects. Ha! I've been collecting woodworking tools lately but still, I'm a metal fabricator at heart. Wood has always seemed so... fragile. Ha!

Well, last night I was pondering what to do with my space crunch... These are my options...

Option 1: Leave things as they are and see what sorta' 70's porn bush I end up with.

Op 2: Keep everything shoved under the screen for another week until I finish the "Box-o-Funk". Then move the whole show to the big-house.

Op 3: Open for suggestions
:leaf:

Ultimately, I plan to go Aero in the Box~O~Funk. Throwing this soil grow in there will slow that plan down.

OK... Decisions made!
70's Porn Bush in the little house to finish-out this grow.:weed:

Clones from this grow to start a brand new Aero program in the B~O~F.

What do y'all think?

Here's a quick shot from this morning w/ light out. I had a big training session with my women last night. Got mid evil on their asses, actually. :fire:

still looking good. You have real nice coverage on that screen.
Hey, Integra21...
It doesn't look too crowded for the end of week 1~12/12?

I'm a little concerned:-?

Still havin' a blast though!

Thanks for keepin' up, Man!

Well, if you notice mine, once you run out of screen, you either have to start cutting limbs, let them grow up, or my favorite, it is a little time consuming, but you pull one branch downwards at a time and ltwist tie it in place to the screen. This usually works well and leaves you with a really weird looking crazy under screen branch configuration. Lots of u and s shapes.

Yea! I shoulda' snapped one of "Bubba-Kush" prior to binding that sister down! That's one shillelagh of a main stalk and doesn't get much slimmer toward the top. I pulled her down S-L-O-W-L-Y twist-tied her S-Bend to another bunch of branches I have bound close to the screen. Looked scary last night but nice this morning. I'm sorta' glad I didn't FIM her this time. But if the yield/quality is considerable, Bubba-Kush would be a prime candidate for it's own modular 15"x15" screen(like the ones I use.) But that's thinkin' ahead a bit.

I agree about the crazy shapes that are happinin' under the Dark Forrest. Some I instigated and some were lucky, (un)natural light guided.

Thanks, Man!
