MOTORCYCLES - riders post here.

Oh wow, it's going to be hard to shorten out how motorcycles have affected my life. I'm not gonna lie in here, I am not a Harley rider, and I don't want to risk offending anyone by hitting that subject.

Ever since I was 14 years old, I've had a motorcycle. I started on a 1971 CB100 Honda, went to a 1981 Yamaha XJ650, graduated to a 1982 VF750 Sabre Honda, now I'm getting the hang of a 1992 V6 1500 Goldwing Honda.

I still have all of these bikes, but the 100 has a few electrical problems, the 750 sprung an oil leak, but that one's still rideable at times when I wanna go FAST. Otherwise, been chillin on the 650 and going like hell on the 1500... V6 power.

Later on I will post more but I wanna hear what YOU got.

(that is my lower back, there are 6 screws that are 3" (7.62 cm) long and 2 rods holding those in place along with 2 polymer cages filling the holes where the discs were.

I can't see myself having a use for that type of hardware, sorry, lol, looks like you need it more than me. Are you at least able to ride 2-up? [Except the hard part about that is trying to not feel gay when you realize you're holding onto a man who is riding a motorcycle...]

Used to be moto-xer here. Still have a 2001 yz125 2-stroke.
Not big on motocross here, however I'm interested in some offroading, [done some on bikes the WERE NOT built for it ha ha] nothing really all that competitive though.

Sounds like my garage. I keep picking them up one hundred, one fifty a piece, and I never realize the fatal flaw of the motorcycle until it's in the garage. Got about 9 total sitting around now, "I'll get around to fixing them someday."

Besides, I get hard for pavement, not dirt. Though you can still get into some pretty gnarly wrecks on the street.

You wanna hear a few wreck stories from my dirt phase/no respect for motorcycle's dangerous properties phase?

Ever try jumping a 50 footer 2up. Nothing gay there!
Doesn't sound gay at all. Maybe I'm just homophobic. I'm afraid that guys will look at me and think I'm sexy, or that people will think I'm gay. But that's one of many irrational paranoias I realize are irrational but they still run subconsciously.

Ya I don't know how many street rides I could do 2+. Don't get me wrong I love street bikes and speed... the 2 reasons why I have never had one. When I was 15 I had the provincial championship wraped up a race weekend early, the guy 2nd in points could have won both motos without me racing and not caught me. I raced anyway... last lap, second last jump of the season and I crashed and broke both bones above my ankle bad.

I'm thinking I could handle driving an on/off roader. Where I live it would be kinda nice just turning off the road and hitting the ditches at any time.

dirt bikes, and atvs... phew... since i was like 8 or 9.. bt motorcyclees i believ ei was 17 (im 23 now) .. this is my 3rd bike.

1st was a 06' honda f4i
2nd was 07' yzf-r6
3rd IS 09' yzf-r6(i like the upgrades on the newer model, and is much fasetr in lower gear IMO):-o
Hell yeah. My dirtbike phase never existed, like most of my friends who ride, spent a lot of times on a dirtbike. I of course went half in on the CB100 with my dad from a trusted friend, I had it running in two days, and left home and rode it for 7 hours. My dad was pissed, but I taught myself how to ride that day. I mean I knew a manual transmission, I knew a bicycle, the problem is combining that knowledge with having a lot of weight between your legs. And I've always been a short shit, so well I guess you know how that goes.

Exactly. Every time I see an Enduro I want to punch the owner in the face, from pure envy.

Not the smoothest ride out there for long-distance trips though.
