Chem Dawg Grow

Just getting this grow started, mainly to test a few different reflectors and lights before i build a bigger box. Im using a one 250w hps light and 2 24w t-5 flouros to broaden the light spectrum a bit. There is one 50cfm exhaust fan, hooked to a thermo swith to kick it on and off and keep the temps between 75 and 78 degrees. Also a smaller fan to circulate air against the plants.

Just about every thing i smoke gets smoked out of a bong, or a volcano vape. Yes they are a little stretchy but upward growth is slowing quite a bit as they hit the hot upper part of the box, once they bush out a bit I'll move them down in the box a bit to give them more room, usually its about an inch down evry 5 days or so in this type of box.

may i suggest some things to you. 1st you need somthing on you walls like white paint or mylar. 2nd you need to get that light as close as possibly without burning the plant. having the light that far away causes the plant to stretch like it already has (seedling) take the seedling and replant it so the leaves are about a in or so from the medium. good luck

yes i know the box needs painted, it will get 2 coats of kills sealer primer, then 2 coats of dunn edwards bright white high gloss paint, ive found that to work well when painting ply wood, speads the light out more evenly. the box is also going to get a few cfls installed soon, for the remainder of veg ill be using 4 6500k daylight 26w bulbs, then when i start to flower they will be switched to 2 42w 2700k bulbs. the seedling is starting to tighten up nicley, upward growth is only about 1/4 inch while leaf development has not slowed at all, here are pics about 8 hours of light later.

here are a few more pics. i moved the clone to a larger container and gave both plants thier first round of nutes, right now im using a 10-15-10.
The herb doesnt need that much phosphorous, that seems like a heavy feed, use something lighter, and with more Nitrogen than other nutes... and do you mean you are only using one nutrient solution at a 10-15-10? how do you know you are giving the plant all of the macro/micro nutrients and supplementing the mycorrhyzae?

yea mang, less phosphorus, more nitrogen. something like 6-4-4 or 10-1-1. glad to see you switchin to floros for veg. that seedling will stretch like crazy under a hps.

wow you guys think this is rocket science, these things are weeds dude, im mixing the nutes dilute. dont trip this aint my first grow, the stuff im using has micro nutes in it, and using an organic soil with plenty of perlite, such as happy frog, will soak up the phos and release it when ever the plant needs it. number one thing to remember is that these things ARE weeds, they need little in the way of help. as long as they have good light, nice loose airy soil, and water they grow fine. the reason that we have to add things is that we want to get something other than just seed out of them. as to the lights, well ive had 2 flouros in there from the start, im adding 4 cfls here in a few days and i had to move the flouros to the vertical position to do that.

Im not attacking you, you're nutrient mix of 10/15/10 isn't very creative
It's not a Weed, its an Herb, i dont care if you call it weed, it isn't. To call it a weed is disrespectful. Cannabacea is an annual flowering plant not even close to be classified scientifically as a weed, good luck with your "weed"

the point of this grow is NOT to be creative, when i do larger crops i wont be just feeding an all purpouse like now, ill be using top of the line bloom and grow with micro nutes as well, right now im keeping it as simple as possible. ive used this soil and this fert numerous times in small grows like this and i know it works well, the buds are dense, dank and sticky. the reason im keeping it so simple is to test an assortment of different reflector shapes and materials to find out wich design i will be scaling up for when i move to a full room in the spring. so far i have tested 3 of them and only like the light spread on one, so 2 designs are going in the treash. i have 3 more to try, maybe one will be better than the first one that works, maybe not.
