12/12 blooper

Ok so far my grow has been with one 65w/300= I recently added three 50w hps, my cfl is on timer and the hps is not so of corse I have to manualy unplug the hid's, well last nite I unpluged the extra fans for the hid's and forgot to unplug the lamp. My question is 24 hr one time during flowering going to stress or effect my grow. Is this a small medium or large mistake?

last time i did the same thing, well kinda. they were like 3 wks int flwr and i accidently left the switch on the timer on for like 20something EXTRA hrs! next thing you know there was like a small outburst of new growth and the prestanding buds stopped fattening at the rate were forehand. they ended up taking a week or 2 extra to flower and were like 6 1/2 ft tall. and im not sure, but the buds weren't as fat as i think they mightof been otherwise. long story short im pretty sure the extra light revegged them a bit causing stess and lighter yeild

I think you will be alright you should buy another timer my friend. Try not to make that mistake again to much stress will cause hermies....good luck

Yes, you have played a trick on the plant but since it was for only 24 hrs there was not much stress involved. Your girl needs an adequate time to sleep at night during the flowering stage. You will notice a degrade in daily flower girth but with time it will be back to normal. I recommend spending the $8 and buying a timer. Do not compensate the night time she has lost.

They'll be fine. One night isn't all that serious.. (might lose a day or so on harvest) 3 Days... thats a different story.

Good luck

It could, but should ya? I'd have to cut the third prong off my cord. My fixture is homemade and the ballast have a ground for a reason + my timer is an elcheapo with one outlet two pronged.

I've seen a lot of herms from leaving a light on for 24 straight. What might happen is if your plants are pretty far into flowering they will still herm, but they wont have time to finish developing their male parts, and seeds. You might get a couple seeds though, and the buds will suffer as the plant uses energy to make the new male parts and seeds. Maybe nothing will happen, but I had a good friend who did the exact same thing and the whole crop hermed.
