8 BubbleHeads start 12/12

I am at my one week mark on my three mystery dank plants! The bud sites are already starting too develop(crappy pics!). The last photo is where I took some light plastic coat hangers and put one around a main branch. It is just heavy enough to hold the branch outward, therefore opening up the canopy. I have two per plant. My version of LST I guess?
FORGOT THE PICS!!!!:joint:

I was so intrigued by this post that I actually read the entire thing. (Managed to listen to 3 CDs also lol.) First I would like to say nice plants all around everyone. (Especially impressed by the CFL user.)

Secondly, I've been wanting to switch over to BP from soil (I know, I read the soil bashing in the earlier posts; not trying to hijack and talk about soil. :D), and I am also very interested in joining your Bubbleheads group (That is when I've learned enough to turn around and teach.) I really like/respect what you guys are trying to do by trying to teach everyone that's intrested in your grow techniques. I also like the fact that you guys take the time to entertain most everyones questions no matter how stupid they sometimes are.

That being said I'd like to start my switch by just trying one plant in a homemade 3gal bubbler. I haven't begun yet because I don't have a PPM meter. How could I manage with just a pH meter for a grow or two? I was also wondering how big of an air pump I'd need and what kind of air stones to buy for the single-plant setup. Can you point me in the direction of some more reading for a noob to bubbleponics?

Welcome Budjunky!

If I were going to do a grow without a ppm meter I would use RO water and grow at about 3/4 the recommended nute rate just to be on the safe side. In a 3gal bucket you can use the smallest pump you can find at walmart with a 6" airstone as the most you would need.

For reading material, try this.

Keep in mind that by helping and teaching you we learn also so you don't have to wait to join the group.

Bubbleheads in BLOOM or FLOWERING CYCLE

This is a critical and important stage or cycle that will determine YIELD and Quality.
During this stage of the game, you can experiment with increasing nutrient levels, if on a high phosphorus low nitrogen nute.

PPM levels are different for CFL growers and HID light users. With HID lights you can have higher ppms. If you use a ppm meter, and stayed in the 500 to 750 ppm during late VEG, then you can get into the 800 to 1000 ppm levels now, discounting water ppm and any sups you use. Some growers with HID lights can go higher. If you do not use a ppm meter, then increase nutes every so slightly daily. Getting little yellow tips on the leaves as a sign of over feeding is not going to do a tremendous amount of harm or kill them, and is just a warning sign that you are over feeding.

You need to reduce humidity now, or if you was doing anything to increase it, like wet towels and Misting, then stop it. DO NOT MIST NOW, DO NOT FOILAGE SPRAY NOW. You MUST have and use an oscilating fan now blowing toward the tops and into the middles, to avoid bud mold. It is simple and easy to avoid, with proper air circulation. Growing in small areas and enclosed tents and cabinets is where the real danger lies for high humdiity and bud mold.

If you are growing with CFLS, you can tremendously increase yield of buds with more lights, especially by adding SIDE lights. The low kelvin bulbs help increase flower size and high kelvin bulbs increase the trichome and THC production. You also need to be bending them over to allow more light to penetrate deep into the middle of the plant. Position your CFL bulbs near the highest, biggest top to get that coke can cola you want. 42 and 65 watt CFLs can be found very cheap at Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart.

Expect to see more lower leaves die off now, that is normal.

Welcome to the Thread bro. I'll post ya an INVITE next.

Here is a Tutorial that shows a DIY 5 gallon bucket, started 3 seed, Vegged 5 weeks, got two females on 12/12 now, and I predict will give me at least 6 ounces, maybe 7 or 8, from the two plants.

Roseman's DIY Bubbleponics Tutorial - Marijuana Growing

I tell in the tutorial that I did 5 grows with NO meters and had only pH tests strips..
The smallest air pump will suffice and a $12 one from Walmart will work great. The aquarium airstones there for $4 or $5 work great too.

Hello, I took some pics. I don't know if the pics are all that good but I'm going to post them anyway.
21 days of flowering 3 white widows.
My largest plant is now 38 inches tall even with the net cup tilted and the bend I've putting on her.
May have to tie down.
