Thanks. Exactly what I alluded to in that forum political correctness comment. The good-ol-boyz network and following the herd is somehow more important than learning what makes a plant tick, empowering one's self. Its about time someone tells it like they see it. +rep to Uncle Ben for speaking his mind, helping out noobs and not being scared to stand up against a whole thread of pretenders.
You need to understand I don't care what you do. Like I said, go fer it.UB ~ I didn't ask for your advice, nor anyone else. I just posted what I'm currently trying on a Lollipopping thread so there's a record of how my plants looked like going into week 3 of flowering. And when I come back here in 6 or 7 weeks to post the results, others will see how the plants faired, either good or bad.
And please remember that this is my grow, my trial and my time. If I don't mind doing this, why should you??????

amen, ub knows his shit!well sorry to step right into the middle of a raging battle but i have been following uncle bens advice religously and have read him on several different topics and am getting great results. There may be other ways out there but as far as im concerned uncle bens word is as good as gold. Its about time someone tells it like they see it. +rep to uncle ben for speaking his mind, helping out noobs and not being scared to stand up against a whole thread of pretenders.
MJ ~ at least you understand that we all have different situations. I tried side lighting on my last grow, but screwing around with 8 different power cords wasn't for me(again little hand strength). What if you can't put in more lights due to heat issues or space or money?
I know what your results will be as I stated before.
This is the results of NOT lollipopping. Your plants should look like this now, full of leaf, nice and green. These are large plants BTW:
....in order to get results like this, about a 26" cola, 4"+ across, crammed in with others:
If this is an experiment, where's your control group? They all look butchered to me. Without a control group, your experiment is useless. Just saying.......
Some people just gotta learn the hard way, so, I rest my case. You're on your own.
Good luck with your experiment,
UB

I lollipopped for the first time last grow and I was wondering if you loose anything from doing it?Greencross:
Your time frame of 2 weeks before flowering and 4 weeks into flowering is a pretty long duration to choose when to lollipop.
I really liked your results, I was wondering what factors lead you to choose when exactly during that time period to begin lollipopping.
OR
Are you suggesting to lollipop off spindly branches during that entire phase?
Thanks much for your help in this post, its been great.
