measured my nutrients in tbsp instead of tsp... two separate res changes. Almost three. Didn't think I was capable of something like that. Hopefully this brightened up your halloween fellas, I wasted almost my whole bottle of FloraGro. At least I know I won't do it again. HAHA!

Heh, if you look through my posts you'll find a myriad of dummy mistakes. Don't feel bad, I make one every couple of weeks. lol.

I was sitting there measuring out twelve tablespoons of gro yesterday into my res thinking "damn I've done this three times this week now, can't they concentrate it any more??" And when I get my res back in place I'm thinking maybe I measured out the micro to as much gro as I needed, which I did, but I also measured them both out in tbsp rather than tsp. :wall:

I think I'm locked out again...Ph falling ppm rising...getting crusty leaves. How long do you guys flush for? 24 hours? not for harvest, just to get passed lockout.

Think 24-48 hours with 5ml Clearex per gal should clear it quickly? I'd like to flush quickly so I can go half strength on the nutes and finish up flowering.

I bought My bubbleponics kit off a guy and i am 2 weeks in and noticed i am going to run out of nutes. 1st question is if i started with stealths nutes should I keep going with them all the way through? If not what do you guys suggest? I read a post on here of a guy that used dutch master gold and penetrator or should I go with stealth for my first grow. Thanks for any help.

FOAM PUMP: I need some tech stats...

Does anyone know what the preferred Gallons per hour (cups, liters whatever) per plant should be bubbling up to the top of a bubbleponic system?

I am building a system that is using a "Foam Pump" instead of the drip irrigation and pump system and want to be able to set my flow rate correctly.

If you are curious what a foam pump is read on:
Take a piece of 3/4 (or 1/2 but I haven't tried it yet) PVC pipe and cut it about 1" longer than your tank is tall.
Stick the air hose from your aquarium pump into one end and push that end into the bottom of your tank.
Foam comes out the top.
To adjust the amount of foam push the airline further up the tube to decrease the flow and pull it lower towards the bottom to increase the flow.
I've tried it. It works. Just bubbly foam. I want to try it with a 1/2" airstone in 3/4" pipe. I'll bet it looks like club soda coming out.

No heat from the pump to deal with. In fact I'm putting a heater in mine to keep it at 77f.

your keeping your water temp at 77? im pretty sure you dont want it to go no higher than 70-72 at any time

and what are you hooking the air stone to if your just putting empty ended airlines in a piece of pipe

2822, I use Stealth Hydro nutes at res change.
Then during the week I top off with Technaflora.
I'm happy to report no problems with mixing nutes.
I too will run out of Stealth Hydro nutes soon.
When I do I will run just the Technaflora, I don't think any problems will arise by changing nutes mid-grow.

I built "The bubbler" as described in "The cannabis grow bible by Greg Green" pg 144-145 complete with airstones and air pump. Then I added an additional air pump to run the foam pump. I did run the airstone on 1 outlet of my 2 outlet air pump and the foam pump on the other but I'm still setting up and experimenting. I thought 77f was the correct temp but I'll certainly look it up now to be sure. I can set the temp wherever I want.

With the variety of submersible pumps that seem to be in use for bubbleponics it seems to me that the water flow will tolerate a pretty wide range of flow rate. Is this correct? Or do you know if there is a correct / ideal amount of water flow for different growth periods. Bubbleponics just uses 1 flow rate to the top at all times right? But I've read a number of posts and some excellent tutorials and they say things like "use a pump at least 120 gph" or "Use a pump less than 200 gph or turbulence my create problems"... With all these different gph pumps their must be absolute water flow rates of a wide range. Any idea what is best or WHAT'S THE GPH ( DROPS PER MINUTE. WHATEVER ) PER NOZZLE ON YOUR BUBBLEPONIC? I'm starting a crop of radishes in the morning to get a better feel for the set-up and I guess I can just figure out what works but a little knowledge can avoid a lot of fiddling. Of course I'm asking what works best for MJ, I just use radishes to get a feel for new stuff.
BTW radishes are a very good practice crop as they grow FAST, FAST, FAST. A few days and you'll know if they are growing well. I have some in ebb and flow now.
