Two residents were arrested after a child abuse investigation led to the discovery of 300 marijuana plants being grown inside a home.
The ounty Sheriff's Office estimated the marijuana, plus 63 additional plants found at a second home, had a street value of $60,000.
The cultivation operation was discovered after a sheriff's deputy accompanied Child Protective Services to the residence and noticed a strong odor of marijuana when they went inside.
Fifty-year-old Mark Arthur Marten and 46-year-old Caren Lorine Marten were booked for investigation of possession, cultivation and sale of marijuana, plus child abuse.
The owner of the home where the growing operation was found is still being sought.
