thats about the best i could get without goin BLURRY... but heres the top of in a humidity dome and rockwool....

i made A DECENTLY DEEP SLIT WEN I WAS SHAVIN THE BOTTOM OF IT ....wat do u think my chances r?????

{PS used rootech cloning gel and par grow rockwool, used a mix of a small mount of SUPERthrive and declorinated H2O.}

shouldn't be too hard, my first time I took 4 clones off a plant that had already been through flower and fucked with all its life and they all rooted after about 2 weeks and are going strong today.

I think it's pretty easy to fuck a clone up. There are alot of variables that could go wrong that'll ruin your clone but the thing I think kills clones the most is not enough moisture.

Check out this thread and scroll down to my post. I give a little tutorial as to how I clone. https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/261620-cloning-using-bubbleponics.html

Also, instead of cutting the absolute top, unless you did that on purpose so the plant would branch off more, I would have took cuttings from the nodes.

that i a beautiful girl dood, fer real! damn i dont kno if i fucked up or not tho. wen i was shaving the stem a lil, i nicked a cut throo the stem a lil, is that likly to fuck it up, i dont kno much about cloning, as u kan tell.

its easy to fuck up until you figure it out. rockwool is the best way though i think. Try not to spray the actual folliage, just the humidity dome, and in 2 weeks you should be good.

Hey, thanks for the props.

As for the nick, did you slice all the way through the stem? If so, that'll probably slow down the rooting a little but if you had some roots to begin with, you should be fine.

I'm going to have to say water cloning is the BEST method for cloning. The only way to fuck up is if your hands were dirty when you were preparing your cuttings and they got contaminated or the water level gets too low. Those are the only 2 possiblities that I could think of as to fucking this up.

I find rockwool just doesn't keep the stem wet enough for it to make it through this delicate period. That's why you have to use a humidity dome when you use rockwool to clone.

Seems idiot proof to me. First clones I took were done early in flower because I figured if I could clone them I could clone anything. Just cut em then did the under water cut. Then olivias rooting gel. then into dirt. All 6 or so I stiuck in FFOF took. The ones i tried to do in perlite/vermiculite didn't make it. No humidity dome or fancy clone machine. Just dirt and plastic cups. piece of cake.

Hi folks,

Regarding cloning, does it make a difference at which stage in a plant's life you make a cutting for a clone. In Jorges Cerevantis' ultimate grow guide, he says that the older the plant gets, the more susceptible it is to disease, and hence the cutting will carry with it that deficiency. And if you repeat that process with perpetual growth through cloning then you will get weaker and weaker clones every time you repeat the process.:wall:

Of course if you have to take cuttings early, that would mean another grow room with 18/6 while the mother plant starts flowering in 12/12. But if you can take the cutting say near the end of the flowering phase, then you can keep the clones in CFL for a week or 2 until the mother is harvested and then move the clones into the same grow room.:bigjoint:

With limited space and resources for growing, that does become a critical question.

Cheers!

NO! dont take clones in flowering, really bad idea not onlt disease, but they just dont do well, they will b fukin retarded, never being in the veg stage, it would b a mean fight to get it bak into veg and wen u did, ur not even done with the battle. if u must!!!!!then do it getit bak into veg and off the tryks will grow stems, clone these, but ur talkin about weeks! risky bizzness..

THX for the info FUZZ,

I see that there is no real short cut to perpetual growth. But can I at least wait till the plant shows sex (growing from seeds) and then make the cutting or will I have to make cuttings in veg stage, mark the specimens and then wait to see which one's "mother" turns out to be female :D (I couldn't stop laughing after reading what I just wrote lololol).

But seriously...?
