I just dont see them as usefull unless you like being on government hitlists. You dont need a gun for survival guns are bad as they give up your location and are usless after you run out of ammo everyone kows where you are.

And people kill people they would do it with anything if they didnt have a gun. But a gun makes it easy you dont have to get dirty shit you dont even have to look at what who you kill before you start spraying.

Ive had friends killed with guns on their hip by the way I would ask them how safe they felt but they are dead because of over confidence in certain situations.

So, what you are saying is 'guns don't kill people- bullets do'. Yes this it true. Just like cars don't kill people- stupid drivers do. Take away the gas and the car becomes useless. Take awat the bullets and the gun becomes useless. Take away the pneumatic nails and the pneumatic nail gun becomes useless.

Don't mean to be rude but... Just make your point and quit trying to hide the fact that you are against gun ownership.
Forgive me if I'm wrong about that but... you sound like a politician trying to NOT make a point directly but with innuendos and word-smithing only.

Like most regulations and laws that are put on the books solely for the purpose of making a privileged company richer and more secure in its business practices. Think if that were made law, all bullet manufacturers would have to stop producing their product, you would not be able to reload your own bullets anymore. Would this stop people from getting killed by bullets? Doubtful. The only thing this law would do is make that one special company very rich what with a monopoly and all. Of course they would license the technology and take a royalty for every bullet anyone else manufactures. Most laws in this country were created to take power and priveleg from the masses and give them to the select few. Those select few companies get favors by supporting fat cat politicians with huge campaign contributions and special treatment. The politicians are now addicted to the privilege and power that comes with the Office and will do nearly anything to keep the position.

Wow, we actually agree on something, amazing. Maybe you should apply this logic to health care, eh? That's right, the health insurance industry owns the congress. How could we expect the congress to pass an anti-insurance bill? Single payer, not a chance in hell. Your private insurance is safe and able to raise rates at will.

Hey just a quick note about north/south. I am from "up north" and am definitely a "yankee" Most of my viewpoints fall towards the "liberal" end but not all. (however, i don't label myself either way).
I am from Illinois, the most gun hating state in the US. While there are a lot of anti gun people, please know, we are not ALL liberal nutjobs!
Most people i know think that our gun laws are ridiculous! (if you are off your own property with a loaded gun in Illinois, its a felony! unless you are hunting or a cop) There are a lot of us that are just honest normal people who still believe in the Bill of Rights.

I've had so many friends that have moved from the south for family or love or whatever reason, that come up here with the pre-conceived notion that we are all rude, liberal, and unhospitable. Not all of us.

as im from a country where guns are illegal could you please explain to me what reason you would have for wanting to carry loaded gun off of your property if you werent hunting or your a cop?

Have you ever experienced the feeling of calm one has when carrying a loaded firearm. Knowing , if, someone was to try some crap with you or your family, you could at least have a chance of defending yourself and them. There are certain parts of town, (N. Vegas) that one should have a gun at all times. I try and avoid going into that territory, but to get to the race track and a few other places I must travel to, I have to cross through carjack central. Now I don't carry the firearm on me, although I could, but I keep it handy in the car, something that would be a felony in N. Vegas without a carry permit. I also take a handgun with me on vacation to Az or other surrounding states, sans Ca, where gun paranoia is prevalent. Most western states either have or are in the process of allowing other states carry permits to be used in their state. The bummer is that the goodguys, (like ME) cannot carry on an airplane, That would certainly slow down airplane hijackings. Could you imagine the look on the hijackers faces if when they pulled out those boxcutters, someone like me stood up and started popping heads? Being a pretty fair shot (Expert), I could certainly ruin a hijackers day. BTW, they make special Ammo for airplanes, high frag ammo. The projectile fragments and doesn't leave the body, IE, no holes in the pressurized cabin. Also FYI, there are not air marshals on every flight.

Its when you are out and about that you may need a gun the most. In order to carry in public in most states that allow it, you need to be in good standing with the law, and show the local sheriff that you know all the safety rules, and have sufficient skill. So, not EVERYONE is carrying a loaded weapon, just the qualified people.

Look at the city of chicago, it has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, (which are about to be reviewed by the US supreme court) and there is more than one murder everyday! Most are committed by people who wouldnt be able to get a permit anyway, and with illegally bought guns.
