For the veteran growers: Do you ever NOT train your plants?

I.e, no topping, fimming, lst, supercropping or whatever. Do you ever just let them grow naturally?

Just wondering, because i feel like i have plenty of head room in my tent((78"), 15" pots, growing 8 bb x nl) and im looking to kiss because i tend to fuck things up. Im working with a 600 and a 400 hps in that one tent.

I myself always lollipop , but thats because it works well for what i like to do, in general traingin either allows u add plants to ur existing as u are pruning and making space or spreads the plants horizontally to make up for lack of vertical space..... i like how u are KISS'ing if this is ur first time its a smart way to go... its always better to have head room rather then having no room so u are doing fine.... how tall are the plants and are u in veg or bloom?? and how much head room do u have?

Im using a homebox xl (56x56x78 tall) and my 8 fems are only 9 days old. nl xbb is the strain so they shouldnt get THAt big but i figured ill top at least once just in case. Uncle ben's topping method seems pretty simple( Clip above 2nd node after 5th node has formed). Dont think i can mess that up. How tall do you think my plants would get if i left them alone? My hoods are 8" deep which means after accounting for my buckets( 16" or so) and clearance between 600w bulb and cola( 10" or so") that leaves about 44" for my plants. 3 feet 8 inches. I wonder if i should be considering other options? I guess i could always tie the cola down a bit at the very end of blooming if i need to.

Yea, outside I let them do their thing sometimes. I mix it up. None of them every look the same for a reason. One will be 9 ft tall, another will be topped once, another topped twice or whatever.

ur good to go man... im a lil drunkie now but ill look over u specs tmrw and give u a better idea..... usually plants double to triple in height when u flip them into bloom.. and having more space between the ceiling light and plants willl only be mnore benidleifical for there success..... so i get ur 9 days into veg???
