not really, and i doubt thats he type of answer he was looking for.144.
Or 1.
Or anything in-between.
Well, it kinda depends on what you wanna do - the most efficient grow would be to flower clones at 6" tall and get 12-15" colas, with spacing at 9/sf.not really, and i doubt thats he type of answer he was looking for.
i fit about 4 or 5 plants under one 600w hps.
i currently have 9 under 2 600w hps.
you could fit more than 5 if doing sog but other than that i wouldn't fit more than that.
the amount of light which my plants receive is optimum because i dont overcrowd my growroom which means that each plant will receive more than its fair share of light because its not shaded by other plants.
peace,
Monkz.
Dont assume. This is his first grow obviously so I doubt he'd be rpepared to handle taking care of 144 plants or even a clone/ perpetual grow. Therefore the best way to be introduced to growing would be to use the light he has to his current capabilities. This would ensure a good crop and a very valuable learning experience, mateWell, it kinda depends on what you wanna do - the most efficient grow would be to flower clones at 6" tall and get 12-15" colas, with spacing at 9/sf.
Assuming he's covering a 4x4 area, 16*9 = 144 plants.
Not all of us grow four foot high plants, mate.
Well, in order to answer the question, one needs to make an assumption or two.Dont assume. thats not what im saying bro, im just telling him what works for me and for lots more people. If you have the time, money and safety then fuck it go for a sog, but 144 plants under one 600w hps is in no way realistic or effective.I'm not sure why you think more plants = less light efficiency; it's actually the opposite, especially when dealing with indoor growing.
Thank you.I run 50 to 75 clones in a 6x6 area and yield almost 2 lbs.....peace
that sounds like a good amount of plants to have in that space.I run 50 to 75 clones in a 6x6 area and yield almost 2 lbs.....peace
Thank you.
Twas my only point.
point being that he grew less plants in a bigger space and not a ridiculous 144 plants in a 4x4 or 81 in a 3x3he said a 6x6 area thats 36 square feet not 9 so wat was your point?
I have two 3' x 8' ebb and flo tables and run 80 plants ea (160) total. One table has 2x 1000w HPS and the one I just changed out from 2 x 1000w HPS to 3 x 600w digital HPS.I run 50 to 75 clones in a 6x6 area and yield almost 2 lbs.....peace
No need....I scored(2) 125 gallon Botanicare Nute resv's w/lids ($400.00 ea. retail) off of craigs list a cpl months ago for 100.00 ea. but thanks anyway...Sorry bro, not hijacking your thread.tat2ue, totally off-topic, but I recall you having some "flexing" issues with your 50 gallon Rubbermaid that you use for your aerocloner?
If I'm recalling that right, I built a frame around mine (use it as my rez for my 4x4 tray) and it fugging works like magic - no stress, not bending even a little bit.
Lemme know if you want the 2x4 dimensions that I used - cost about $5 for the whole thing and works like a charm.
