Should I buy this plant?

A buddy of mine who is growing wants to sell one of his plants because it's getting too tall. It's a little over 3ft tall, it's "Lemon." He wants to sell because it's too tall and his HPS is burning the top a little. His asking price is $200, it seems to be a good price but I don't really know how much it should be so...ya. If I bought this one I would clone it then go right into flowering. As far as light goes I was just thinking about getting some CCFL's, a few 35 watt ones and surround the plant with them, would this be an okay setup just to get this one flowering? What kind of yield would I be looking at from this one plant (just a rough estimate)? I attached a picture of it, it's the tall one in the mid-right.

i would never pay 200 for that plant i would order 200 dollars worth of seeds from attitdudes seed bank 2nd site in my sig. also i would def go out and buy some cfls like this ranging in from 2700 to 6500 k the more the marrier but if u dont have much time and got the extra 200 just go ahead and buy lol but you can get a shit ton more seeds and stuff and i think would come out better!

Any clue what the yield might be on a plant of that size? I think I'm just gonna do seeds after checking prices. But if I can save a little money instead of buying smoke like crazy then why not? $300/ounce or $200/a little more than an ounce.

hell no! i wouldnt pay $50 for that plant. unless you get a hps or alot of cfls your not gonna get more than a fluffy oz dry from it, its got a long way to go before you harvest. that plant needs alot more light than a few 35w cfls to flower properly.

he should buy seeds then if you are going to look at it that way....... clones are 10-25 depending on how old they are. that plant doesnt look like you could get more than maybe 4 good cutting from it yet, so he would be paying 50 a clone compared to 5 a seed........

What I was thinking, is spend the $200 on a bubbleponics kit from Stealthhydro with the Dual Spectrum II lights, then getting a good Auto-flowering species. Any recommendations for AF species? Show of hands, anyone think that's a better idea than buying the plant?
