Whattap RUI,

Sparki here and welcome to the launch of my second generation grow. Hopefull i dont repeat the same mistakes and end up with a fat yeild. Moving out so this will be the last grow for atleast a few years. Hopeful at this point. Currently the just entered Bloom. HPS was just installed last night. All my pictured were taken at the highest resolution for my personal use. Im trying to figure a fast was to reduce size, any suggestions?

The specs for my grow op:
400W MH
600W HPS
extra sun air cooled reflectors
4" inline for intake
6" inline for light cooling
Advanced Nutrients

Growing medium is fox farm ocean forest when transplanted from clones and then transplanted to a 50/50 mix of coco and ocean forest. Then 2" coco was used to top the soil.

Oh and how could i almost forget to mention the ladies. 4 Afghanis and 2 Headband.

Well its only the beginning so hop aboard and share thoughts and techniques.

So then, its basically ChemDawg
hmm i just googled it and you could be right.....but there were clones next to it called chemdawg so that never crossed my mind. My selection was very limited and pretty much the last few of the batch. they all looked very small and didnt see a lot of roots sticking out of the rockwool. There was a really nice clone but it was reserved for someone...i tried to buy it 3 times but failed. i was about to give up and leave . an old man saw me being undecisive and pointed at the one with sticker OGxSourD. he looked at me and said "thats Headband". i had tried 707 headband the week before and i was totally digging the high...so i grabbed it and been calling it headband ever since

What kinda problems?
Thank you.
I ph when im feeding only water...my water is high in ph. when i feed with nutrients i dont have to ph cause advanced nutrients does a pretty good job of ph balance. but i always check ph before it goes into the dirt. i vegged under 400w MH for 35 days..i still havent reached 1000 ppm(peak 960ppm so far). next feed im going to bump up to 1100. they were around 20" at the end of veg.

i usually water 3 times a week. feed, feed, water. try to feed as they need it rather than just following a schedule. last time i followed the schedule to the t and ended up in burned crop. so far i can say ive given them almost 1:1 ratio of feed and water. my last grow was pretty much 100% feed up until flushing.

hope this helps and good luck.

thats pretty much me too, all of that.
except the ph in the food , my food drops my ph to below 5 so i have "up" my food and i leave my water alone. after 2 crops (here) i think i have boiled it down to, too much light in flower OR my tap water has too much of something in it. its 6 to 700 ppm outta the tap. which i know folks that dont have a prob with 700ppm tap but i was thinking "what if" 600 of my 700ppm is iron? .... i dont know but they look a lil better since i started ph'ing the food, but i still think its the light ..... afgani is kinda a low light strain anyways . :wall: and again for the last crop :wall:

Here is the first batch right before replanting from MG soil to Promix BX , AND raising the lights........
View attachment 618391View attachment 618392

now here is 2 or 3 weeks after the replanting/raising light......
View attachment 618393

then right after that pic i started flower and all was fine until the first or second week of flower then they started kinda droopin again . not to mention they did not grow an inch from end of veg all the way through flower .......... they looked really good and finished nicely but was only half the pot it shouda been......

now the same thing with the second batch, they were beautiful until the second week of flower then they started droopin/bleaching/pre-mature yellowing.
:cuss:
also i switched to floro's for veg and the ones over there look great...... so i am really thinking light ??

good move with getting outta that MG soil...looks like they are fine and healthy in the 3rd picture...i usually bump up the ppm of nutrients when they get a little yellowish light green. I had a similar experience with my previous grow....unsatisfied yield, not much growth after the 3rd week of bloom. I think your fine with your light height. I have mine at around 22-26 inches from the top of the plant to the glass of the reflector. If you didnt cut your soil with coco, id say you might want to back off on the watering. After your previous grow, did you inspect your soil? when i did, the inside was very wet and smelled funky and not earthy. I cut my fox farm ocean forest with almost an equal portion of coco. every time you water, your consolidate your soil. too much consolidation and you choke your roots. the coco is the best at countering consolidation. it's great at draining excess water too and fluffs up when its dry. oh yea and its always good to check the weight before you water. sometimes if the pot is still heavy ill just skip it, i saturate the soil only when its very light and feels like there is almost no water in the soil.

Friday the 13th and i realize i have some thripes shit and eggs under leaves. I didnt see too many thripes so im hoping i cought this early enough not to have too much impact. Most of the damaged leaves are on the lower half of the plant. Gonna get some neem oil and try that out. Also going to hang a No-pest in the room as well. Saturated with water on 11/10 (tue) so im going to saturate with 1100 ppm of nutrients.
