At work today I was setting down and helping a co-worker retap the threads in a set 200plus brackets that where messed up . We started talking and eventually he brought up his kids, supposedly his 14 year old son has a brain tumor. We just kinda stoped talking after that; should i tell him that maybe he should try letting him smoke some pot? I want to, but... he looks the type to not understand. Either i would be wasting my breath, or he might tell the boss that i was talking about drugs and that shit might get me fired. It's sad isnt it.

Yea man, it's really a judgement call. If you don't think he be accepting to it, even then it may be worth a try. If you think that he may be offended, and bring other people in to it, I definitely wouldn't say anything about it to him. You know him, so it's your call.

yeah.. cancer sucks.. my girl lost her son to brain cancer the day after his third birthday.. how fucking sad can life be sometimes... its horrible.. but i don't see how you could get fired for bringing up marijuana at work to be honest with you.. if you want to bring it up, do so in a roundabout way.. maybe start off with something like .. there are alot of alternative medicines out there that have been found to be beneficial for people with cancer.... something along those lines.. and wait for their response.. you should pretty much be able to gauge whether or not to take it any further by this person reaction to alternative medications if you know what i mean... that is soo sad.. i hate cancer...

Yea, you could just "happen to stumble upon and article" while he was around and maybe you could turn him on. Things can get kind of hairy with people when you start suggesting what they should do with their children, but at this point his options are limited.

thats a tough one to try and handle.
I just lost a family member with a brain tumor.
The last thing we were thinking was pain relieve.
Well the only pain relief was his passing.

Just say if he ever needs anything you could help any way you possibly could.
Go help mow his yard or something. That's being a good Samaritan.

Did he ask for advice specific to pain or nausia relief ? if not then just be his friend & listen whe he wants to unload ,as a father who has lost a son under horrible circumstances myself i can tell you this, if he did not ask for specific advice then none should be given.

It's not your place to tell someone about something they should give to their child. By doing so your going to imply that your pro pot, telling him how to heal his child...

personally i would leave the conversation where it ended. Who knows what may result from continuing this conversation with your co-worker...and since this is your job i wouldn't want to make any waves where i work

It makes me feel sad.

I wish my father would have given it a try.

I'm OK in the mirror because I broached the subject with him and made my suggestion.

I believe my mom would have a harder time with cannabis consumption than he would have.

Thats what im thinking, im sure he's ran across it on the internet anyways. It just bugs the hell out of me that i cant ask him, i feel like i should. But it's not my problem anyways, I hope i dont get any bad karma.
