Yeah I think so. If it releases any pollen in your room you may have seeds. That stuff hangs around a while. Not many seeds I'm sure, but I figure if you are inspecting every day, you will catch those males first.

No. Preflowers are nothing more than indicator for you, they are juvenile flowers that contain no viable pollen. Not until the male flowers open should you be concerned. The pollen sack will enlarge, droop off its petiole, the flower bracts will separate at which time the pollen is released.
Having said that, there is nothing wrong with seeds if you're thinking that sensi is somehow more potent. That paradigm has been dispelled in labs. Yes, seeded plants are a PITA unless you've done some crossing, then that's a good thing.

The best thing to do if you have seeds in your grow
is to let the plant finish, dry it, cure it, and smoke it!
Keep your seeds.
Don't stress THIS scenario too much. There are way
worse issues that may happen further down this grow.
Just take it as it comes and enjoy your plants.

my question is what strains will show pre flowers? i have vegged wonder woman, snow white, reverva's og 18, and GHS indica mix's for well over 3 months before and never once in my life seen a calyx or male pollen sack develop without a shortening or semi drastic change in light cycles. so i cannot deny the proof i have seen im just wondering what strains you have goin.
And obviously if they are beginning to produce pollen sacks they will attempt to mature that pollen. so either pluck the lil sack off or pull the whole plant. if you can clearly see the sex than why ask the question

northern lights and hash plant. sorry all you americans about my comment. your not all bad, but the ignorant ones on here. i have experienced time with great people fron the USA. ps. they were not an auto strain.

Yes, if the males grow/progress enough to start throwing pollen (however little the amount) it WILL POLLINATE THE PREFLOWERS ON YOUR PREFLOWERING FEMALES.
This is a great way to get just a few seeds, without ruining a whole crop.
You can even completely pollinate all the preflowers on a given female and, even under 18/6 or 24/0, 5-6 weeks later you will have beautiful seeds on your still vegging mother.
12/12 just focuses ALL the energy to sexual reproduction. It doesn't make plants flower. Plants will flower on their own once they reach sexual maturity, however only a fraction of the plants energy is spent on flowering until the photoperiod reaches 12/12. At that time, all available energy is focused on reproducing (i.e., MUCH more flowers produced). This is due to the plant's perceived proximity to senescence.

Dont worry, you got plenty of time until you can tell that they are definitely male before they pollinate your females.
