You just can't not like that girl. :)

If you don't know what a meme is, it's something that showed up on the internet, and now there are a thousand different versions of it floating around.

What are you guy's favorites?

actually (and you'll all please excuse a little pedantry in the interest of 'philosophic precision'), a >meme< is a termed coined by Richard Dawkins and is commonly given as "a postulated unit of cultural ideas, symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meme ), and so as such is emphatically not limited to internet phenomena (Dawkins' Selfish Gene in which the term first appears was published in 1976, ie well before the advent of the www ['ARPAnet' not withstanding]).

so, in that sense, my fav (and imho some of the most historically successful) meme(s) would have to be the music of Bach... c300 years of reproduction and dissemination and still going strong in a way that very few (various religious texts aside) other cultural artifacts that depend upon transmission for survival have!

memes are a fascinating topic... the whole idea of cultural 'evolution' mimicing biological processes (genetic transmission) is itself a potent meme.

And you're not a useless consumer too?

Memes should stay away from this place, it'll only make things worse.
No, I am not..Im producing something, something soo beautiful and sweet smelling...I grow carrots:blsmoke:

But on another hand, maybe we are all useless consumers, who dwell and dwell...day and night...Not finding that inner peace...Luckily, I have found It....Or not..?

I don't see how people can hate Boxxy. She's the happiest person I've ever seen. So what if she's kind of a spaz?

The joker memes are pretty good as well.
