also, how would i go about scrubbing the air? the heat from the two 1000s seems like it would be pretty damn warm for the charcoal. would the lights be tubed?
You would have a few options there, the most effective thing to do would be to create a 100% enclosed environment but the costs add up real quick with that. You would need a window type ac, dehumidifier, as well as Co2 enrichment. You would scrub the air inside the room with like a can 100 or something huge like that.
This probably won't work for you for this grow as it's an expensive set up.
If you were to just run a single room about 8x8 using only 2 of your 1k bulbs, you could set up shelving on the walls for all of your plants and then you can have 2 options there.
Option 1: purchase 2 cooltubes w/o reflectors and run those vertically with about a 6" inline duct fan to cool the lights and use ducting to pull the air from outside the room so that you don't have issues with smell. For the actual venting of the room, you could use a 6" HO can fan hooked up to a Can 33 filter to scrub the air from the growing area. Passive intake should be enough in an 8x8 area if you have a few intake locations.
Option 2: use your 1k bulbs w/o cooltubes and use an 8"HO can fan with a can66 filter to scrub the air and ventilate the room considerably faster. Again, you could likely use passive intake for the room but you'll need quite a few holes within the room.
Anyway you decide to go, I would definately run it vertical as most growers are able to pull over 1g/watt without the skill required to do it the traditional ways.
Hope this helps and if you have any further ???'s just let me know.
