these are the first 2 paragrapghs of the story. the link is below if you want to read the whole thing. i found this to be absolutely fucking hilarious.

SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.
It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.

these are the guys who are in charge of the science. i can go back on my original tandy 8086 and find my first email ever sent. these guys THREW AWAY THE FUCKING SCIENCE. seriously, saturday night live cant make this kinda shit up.

Jones was not in charge of the CRU when the data were thrown away in the 1980s, a time when climate change was seen as a less pressing issue. The lost material was used to build the databases that have been his life’s work, showing how the world has warmed by 0.8C over the past 157 years.

point 8 degrees in 157 years? 0.8 degrees? 0.8 fucking degrees. gee honey, we may need to get a bigger air conditioner in another 450 years. you libs are absolutely the funniest bunch of people.....you guys got a million of 'em

something else. when i was in 4th grade we did an experiment. we filled a bucket with ice and then with water. the next day we came in and the bucket was about 3/4 full.

why then if the snow caps melt will the oceans rise? i used to say that man made global warming defies 7th grade logic. apparently i was wrong. it doesnt pass 4th grade muster. now thats fucking funny!!

What's a snow cap? Obviously he meant ice cap, like polar ice caps, which are over water.

lol thats funny the south pole is in the middle of a frigging continent you must mean "polar ice cap" as only the northpole is over water

but as to to op's question about where is the water coming from? well its from the kilometer+ thick sheets of ice and snow that cover the land in both the northern polar regions and on the south polar continent.
when it melts it then rises sea level. im sure you did pouring liquids into other liquids to get increase volume before they let you loose on the tricky ice in bucket experiment?

No-one will ever again believe any of the bullshit data and claims about global warming or melting ice or rising sea levels or any of the other lies that come from the climate hoaxers. Remember that term - Climate Hoaxers. It is becoming a part of the language.

OK, conservative guys on these boards who seem to hate any evidence that man produces C02, we all know C02 is bad for the environment in substantial amounts, right? OK, agreed. We also know that mankind produces C02, right? OK, agreed. I personally don't think we are responsible for enough C02 production to make any kind of a difference, which would eliminate the man-made global warming idea, which also, I think most of us agree on. But that's not the only thing contributing to the C02 increase in the atmosphere. There is Carbon Dioxide trapped inside the ice caps, I can't remember the exact name for the process right now, but what happens is Carbon gets trapped inside the ice over millions of years, so if the ice melts, the Carbon is released into the atmosphere, which creates a snowball effect, raising global temperatures, raising sea levels.

I'm not an expert, but that's how I understand it to be. So now the question is if humans are responsible, or could potentially lead to, the thawing of the poles. Data indicates they receed farther and farther every year..
