Hello Peeps!!
Decided to cut all my buds into nice lengths and got rid of all the stems etc!! and stuck it all in jars on thursday night!! It was bone dry on the outside of the buds and the stems were pretty much snapping! so jumped straight to jars rather than the bags!!!
Been opening them twice a day on week days and every couple of hours during the weekend!! Have tried some and it smoke well but it is still very sticky in the middle of the buds so im thinking of getting it all out of the jars(mabe tom) and laying it out on paper and letting it have a day drying then back into the jars again!!
Good Idea?? Will be trying to find paper bags still so i dont have to lay it out on the floor!!!
The smell is not what i was hoping for but im thinking that as i dry and cure it will start to mature!!! Same with the taste! its not bad or anything just not tasty if you know what i mean!!! mabe im wishing for to much and expecting amsterdam smelling/tasting smoke on my first run!!!
Will put some pics up very soon of the bud in the jars and some close ups so you can see where im at!!!

I agree, at least a couple of weeks before the full flavour starts to come through. The buds needs to get rid of the clorophyll (the molecules that make photosynthesis possible - that's why dark is essential) first before the true potential comes out. This takes more than a week....patience Baggins, you'll get the budha taste yer looking for
I would go for papers bags (of course) or put it on paper inside a box - with ventilation holes.

Ok Ok guess i got to slow down but you know how its is!!! want it now!!!lol
I like the idea of the box with holes as finding paper bags is a little harder than i thought!!! All jars have been in the same room i grew them in and its pretty dark in there all the time!! temp is about 16'c if that matters with the humidity around 50% if i decided to stick them in a box then i will up the temp a little and keep a eye on the humidity!!
Will try and get some pics done in a sec with the hope of getting them up tonight but if that doesn't happen then tom for sure!!!

I would try and keep it up around 20c room temp if you put them into a box.
Mad that it is so hard to find paper bags...
I have had mine for ages now and they are all crumpled to fek

Little bit gutted on the amount ive got which is working out about 2.5oz(very quick weighing yesterday) 5 plants and although they were only about 1.5ft high i expected to hit nearer a oz each plant, but either way at least i know what im smoking and whats gone into them!!
If/when i do another project i feel i will be able to hit that target and the smoke will be even better!!!
Ive just now transferd all the harvest from the jars to a carboard box lined with paper(yellow pages!! lol), no holes in it yet but have left the flaps folded over at the top so air can escape! will add holes as soon as i can to help airflow. Have turned the dehumidify back on in the room which should raise the temp upto 20'c and drop the hum nicely!!
How long should i leave it in the box??? Im assuming till its bone dry again! then back into the jars??!!

I check the biggest buds, I gently pull off one of the nugs from the cola and make sure it's reasonably firm...should still be sticky of course...but not soft and squidgy. Then jar.
Some of my Headbands only gave out like a 1/2 oz, was pretty pissed, but then they were just little sticks when they went into flower. All in the veg period/pot size...
Still need to be giving yerself a pat on the back lad!

My bud is dry with a little bit of sticky icky in the middle but im still curing it in jars but its pretty much there!!!!
And i got to say every time every time i light one up i get a massive grin across my mush!!! All the work, all the worry and stress and was it worth it???? DAMN RIGHT IT WAS!!!!!!!
The smell is now coming through and its strong like real STRONG!! Grapefruit citrus smell and the taste is fruity juicy good!!! and its still curing!!!!!
The high!! well........all i can say is..........WOW!!!

Now don't get me wrong im not say im the best grower ever or that im anywhere near as good as people that do it for a living but every doobie ive had of this Nightshade( and this goes for all the mates that have been luck enough to get to smoke some!!!) has near on knocked me for 6!!! Its been along time since i had a whole joint to myself(missus not about!! lol) and ive got to half way through and had to stop for a bit because i was seriously mashed!!!
So Barneys Fem Nightshade gets a mega thumbs up fro Bilbo Baggins!! Just wish i had got more out of them, but i guess everyone prob says the same!!!
May still put some pics up of some of the buds soon as its nearly fully done!!!
