Ready for flowering ??

Hello Everyone

in the middle of my first grow so this is only my second post (my first one is in the plant problems section, due to an issue with zinc (i think) on one plant)

So.....

I have one crystal and one urban posion that look like they are ready to go into flowering but as its my first time, wanted to be sure and ask the advice of people that have done this before.

Another question - if they are ready to flower, is there any point in delaying a couple of weeks and keeping them in vegetative - will this increase the yield ??

At present the Urban P is 30cm tall and the Crystal 23cm

I did a v. small outdoor grow last year and only got 5 grams from two plants (!!!) so this time, using an indoor system as well, I want to be double sure that I put them into flower at the correct time and also get good yields from them

Thanks for your help !

it depends how big you want them. i usually put them in flower around 1 1/2 or 2 feet and expect them to double in size.
your second plant looks a little streched out. you might want to move the lights closer

when to flower is up to you really... i like to make sure that they have reached sexual maturity first.. you will know this a few ways.. when she puts out preflowers, or when she stops putting out nodes evenly.. if i see one or both of these, i flip them to 12/12..
and to answer you ?, yes, the longer that you veg them, the more your yeild will be since it is the leaves that support the bud growth.. more leaf, more buds..
a lot of people may flip before they see preflowers or uneven nodes as they may have height restraints that would force them to flower first.. some plants may doulble or even triple in size from the time you flip them, the stretch, so if you don't have any issues with how tall they may get, i would say let them babies veg..

thanks both of you. So both plants look healthy ?? I think the Urban Poison is generally more spaced out (!!) than other strains and looking at videos of them growing, them all seem to look like this and its already as close to the light as it can be.

So in simple terms in order to boost the yields I should let know of them grow a bit more (they already have pre flowers and one of them uneven nodes) but both of them I think are still too small and height is not a big consideration so unless you suggest otherwise, it seems sensible to let know grow another 20cm or so each before flowing in order to ensure good yields ??

well it depends on how much room you have
and how much yeild you want?
but sure, f*** it ...go for it

make sure you have enough light to support larger vegged plants, the plants will require more light to produce more yield.bigger plants will yield more but only if you have the correct light source.goodluck!
