Dont know about the soil and fert. because i am a hydro guy but I do know that walmart has safety blankets in the camping isle for $3 and it is basicly a 4'x5' piece of mylar. it was a great find! Also you can get four 23w 2700k cfl's from home depot for like $8 And a couple of y socket adapters for $3 each Hope this helps. and most importantly where can I buy that reflective foil looking material????
and best place for CFL and the panel of sockets.???

No the Y socket is just an adapter that turns one light socket into two. Very easy to double the amount of bulbs you can use. You should look for an over the sink bathroom fixture with multiple bulb sockets. Ive seen some with up to six sockets and with using the y adapters thats twelve bulbs @ 23w per bulb thats 276 watts. Not to bad for $100 or so.

those are in walmart or homedepot?? where are better deals?
another favor can you show me a pic of that sockets.?

I am attaching 1 pic of the fixture and 2 of the socket all from homedepot. The bulbs shown are also from hd, they are 100w equiv (23w actual) @ 2700k. Whats nice about getting a multibulb fixture is that you only need to wire up 1 conection. I wired all my own, so if you need help just let me know. I reccommend wiring it to an extension cord so its easily removable.

fox farm ocean forrest soil. its the best by far. it is completely organic and has some basic but yet organic nutes in it already. such as bat guano, kelp, earth worm castings etc. this doesnt mean you cant fertilize. quite the opposite. id also go with fox farms big 3 for your nutes...which consists of Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. great organic nutes work wonders. with the soil, even though it already has perlite in it i would still add more to make it more airy as well as more drainage.im going shopping this week. mainly for soil what kind is best for basic grow 1st timer.? Those cfl's will work fine but they are more expensive. The reflector is nice though. Should work great actually.
