A submersible Aquarium heater should solve your problem.Look around there's plenty of different types I'm sure you'll be able to find something to fit your need .

If it has a submersible pump get a bigger pump. A bigger pump means more heat. If your going to spend the money to heat you might as well benefit by more and better water circulation and therefore have good DO levels in case you grow your roots into the water. If you use an aquarium heater get a small one. They have a tendancy to have sticky thermostat controllers as they are cheaply made. They tend to stick with the contacts closed so the heat stays on. Can get pretty hot using a larger heater even in a single day if running 24/7

aq heaters are fine i normaly put warm water in aswell gives it a kick start because they take there time

I think you would find if you went on to the reef aqurium forums where reef keepers have a few thousand dollars tied up in fish and usy ually more in live corals that they do not trust the built in thermostat controllers that are a part of a typical aqaurium heater. They buy a goood temperature controller like a Ranco and plug the heater into it. http://www.rancoetc.com/ranco-etc111000000-digital-temperature-controller-p-86.html I guess it depends on what value you place in the contents of the cloner. You shouldn't put a whole lot of faith in a cheap aquarium heater. I have lots of reef aquarium and resrvoirs heated with aquarium heaters. I also have a lot of temperature controllers. Ranco just happens to build very good units at a fair price. Aquariums stores usually sell them for almost twice what the posted site sells them for online.

Thanks guys, I do have an aquarium heater in there now, obviously not big enough. I was just looking to see if anyone had a particular model that they preferred. Also I am actually a dirt warrior (I bow to your greatness, oh powerful hydro masters) so I have no idea what DO means, tho I have seen it a few times looking around in the aero/hydro section to find answers to my cloning issue. If you could elaborate that would be great. Thanks again guys.

DO means dissolved oxygen. Typically few speak of actual numbers or would know what the numbers really signify. It is usually listed in percentage of saturation or in mg/L. It is imprtant to have a high DO in systems where the roots are actually growing in the nutrients solution such as DWC, bubbleponics and other aqua culture techniques. With a cloner it would only become of real importance if the roots from the clones actually grew into the water prior to being removed and planted.
