400w winter soil grow===PICS===

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first grow! I want to start off by saying how awsome this site is. Anything you want to know, can be found! I started off with 14 bagseeds(mosty high mids, som KB) in party cups, and then about a month in; transplanted em into 1/2 gallon pots(1 1/2 weeks ago). Take a seat, ill be updating often.

I see a fair bit of yellowing, I think there might be a deficiency of some kind but I'm a complete newb. They look nice though, good stuff.

There actually pretty green, but their is an orange glare coming off of the hps. Thanks for stopin by

Bump...... I topped my first plant a few days ago, and it looks like it was a success! Is it topped or are those just the side branches?

ya thats toped moms from bag seed dont matter just cut clones and flower the clones and you will find out if they are any good or not

Well, just topped 2 more more plants at there 6th node. I'm using technaflora nutes, and right now feeding em B.C boost, B.C. grow, thrive alive b-1 red, magical, and sugardaddy. The temp is at 73-75 degrees with lights on, and 65ish when off. I started flowering the 1 in the party cup(back 1) by putting it into my closet for its dark period. Any advice, comments? Anyone?

Should get another light and put a flowering room in your closet if big enough. Will be a lot of work to switch the plant everyday at the right time

well, im nobody on ths site,but they look good with just light,some reflective could help,but they look goodas far bag seed thats a croc of shit ,i outdoors them for years pulling all males,sell the kind bud as hydro ,without seeds the buds are beutiful evry time,nuthin like the sun,im first grow in hydro this year,ill be watchin,good luck

My closet is my flowering room, and has a 400w hps, same as my veg room(check out the pix). I just don't want to run the light in my flower room(closet) just for 1 lil plant. Your right though, it is a bitch moving it

Ohh okay. I wouldnt run it either then. How long till others enter flowering?

Hopefully soon, but they seem to be mostly indica, and stayin real short and bushy. Not so good for taking clones from. As soon as they get side branches big enough to take clones from, ill give em the chop and throw them into flower.

QUICK UPDATE-There about 40 days old from seed now, and are really starting to grow. 2 of them have developed some sort of deficiency, any ideas(pics 3 & 4)? I flushed them with ph'd water yesterday, and it seemed to have helped. Should I chop off the leaves with the black spots?

Check out this stem in the first 2 pics! I'm going to go ahead and say the problem with the 2 plants is nute burn. They have both been flushed, and I hope they recover. Any thoughts on cutting off the infected leaves? I'm gonna start taking clones any day now. Also, just ordered an active air 4" 165 cfm inline fan for my flower room. Any comments or questions?

How far away is your light from the tops of your plants? They just look a little bleached to me, like lack of light. Seems like you've got a lot of nutes going at 'em for their size and stage, and that might be out of balance with the light strength (ie. light far away = less activity in the plants = more nutes around than needed...).

I would also suggest getting more reflection back to the plants. You could buy and set up mylar or panda plastic, or you can build up some moveable wood panels and paint them flat white for about $15 (less, if you have some lumber and paint hanging around). That will get more light to your plants, too, and you can just pull them out of the way when you need to. Check the link to my grow and go to the first page to see mine. Nothing fancy, but do a great job bathing my babes in a wash of light...

Well, it's been about 2 weeks since my last update(school & work), and a few things have happened. I started flowering on 1/1/10, and ended up with 7 females, and 7 males. Anyone know whats going on with the different shades of green/yellow? Nitro deficiency? Check out the closest girl in the first pic... I cut 6 clones about 3 days ago. They look a lil wilted but are hanging in there.... This grow is a learning experience for sure. I'm gonna order some strain seeds in a few days, and start fresh. Thinking about reserva privada's cole train, purple wreck, or th seeds a-train. All comments welcome

Oh yeah, my light in the flowering room is 14" above the tops, and was about 20-24" during veg.

Anyone know the best "wetness" to keep soil at for clones? Is it good to let the soil dry out a little, or keep it moist at all times?
